i know just like y'all i'm a bit upset eddie ain't do no kind of skit or stand up but you know what, eddie really ain't gotta do shyt

just like dr. dre ain't gotta make another album

eddie is among the elite now. eddie left that show at the peak of his career and never had to go back and "promote" his movies by usin' that show because he's "eddie murphy". he's that great and talented. that alone just speaks volumes to eddie's greatness

would it have been cool if he did do a skit or some stand up, of course

but he doesn't have too :yeshrug:

But I don't think it was about that tonight. It was about honoring where they came from. For their fans, their former home, the legacy, the comedy. You could tell that they were all having fun with it. Bill Murray even brought his a$$ out.

Eddie didn't get where he is now without some help along the way, including the connects he made from SNL. Tonight, they gave back.

We hold him to a higher standard, but maybe he doesn't have it. These are some comedic giants and maybe he doesn't have it what it takes to go toe-to-toe with them anymore. Perhaps that's why his movies aren't funny anymore.

a lot of them didnt have to, but they still did
Yup.

Seinfeld never has to leave his house again, but he did a 7 minute bit.

Timberlake can stay at home and fukk Jessica Biel for the rest of his life but he still did something.

A bunch of people did shyt tonight because it was the show that put them on, was something that inspired them growing up or something they've been able to participate in and enjoyed.

i know, just sayin'. eddie is to snl what michael jordan is to the nba though:yeshrug:

MJ still judged dunk contests and will fukk around in practice with the young guys every once in a while.

you can't even begin to put timberlake and murphy in the same damn sentence though, come on now :russ:

timberlake ain't even no comedian, let alone funny outside of that damn "dikk in a box" skit :comeon:

seinfeld, yeah i agree. he ain't gotta do shyt and he's one of my favorite comedians but he ain't no eddie murphy. eddie's better

while i don't agree with the comparisons, i do get the point you tryin' to make :ehh:

I don't think he's obligated to do anythibg with snl but me its like why go and not at least do something if your there . It was just disappointing to me. This could of been another career boost for the young people who only knows shrek . I feel like watching golden child right now :heh: time to check Netflix
