This week's episode was amazing!
Okay so last week after finding out that Hollis wasn't the one that hired Becky, I immediately thought of Judge Verna being the culprit. The clip leading towards last nights episode pretty much confirmed it, but with everything coming out as fast as it did, I knew we would be in for some more scandalous moments.
While I understand why Olivia had recently chose to be open with her 'Gladiators in Suits', I can't help but yearn for her to go back to keeping some things to herself. For me, that barrier helped to distinguish whose name is on the door, from one who is just a fixer.
Abby...
you did the right thing (lol). Abby was on my shyt list, but she has redeemed herself in my eyes. If she didn't know, well now she does- David's career was more important than his
lust love for her.
Speaking of defunct couples: No more Oldison/Edvia or whatever the hell...
They had absolutely no chemistry and his proposal didn't sit right with me. I mean it wasn't that long after this:

The moment between Huck and Quinn was okay. It served its purpose, but really I have been thinking for the longest time, when are they going to get together?
Earlier in the season I thought that James may get killed due to opening his soup coolers, but that obviously did not come into fruition. Truly that entire scene was really good- will Charlie or won't he? Glad that James actually showed loyalty to Cyrus and vice versa. You know its true love for Cy when he actually doesn't 'fix' a problem that can ruin him.
Verna...
Now I've been all for Verna's tell-it-like-it-is persona and I enjoyed her relationship with Olivia, but what in the hell was she on to think that she could spill her guts and that would be that? Funny how Fitz mentioned Poker in her eulogy- now when I go to the casino, I stick with the slot machines but I do know a bit about poker and maintaining a Poker Face (Thanks, Gaga!)- point being ol' Vern sure as hell didn't have one. 'After you leave I'm gonna tell...'
When she mentioned his piss poor Daddy, I was thinking she's begging to be killed- then she just went totally over-the-top. Seriously, who does that? Like you're not that fierce! Hell, you are close to death and alone with a man who you told you tried to have killed and then before you peace out, you tell him that since that didn't pan out you are going to kill his career?
I. Can't.
Fitz and Mellie can both pretend that they have this deep love for one another, but if push came to shove, they both would attempt to drown the other to stay afloat.
Poor Olivia but its for the best. Now we all know that Olitz will never truly be over, but at least they are having her trying to move on and with someone who is either her own age or close to it.
Can't wait for next week.
