It is not a Bonnie & Clyde story, though. When people refer to people as Bonnie & Clyde, they refer to people who are in a tumultuous, interdependent relationship with one another. They are not usually referring to people who literally go on a crime spree. They are not going on a crime spree in the screenplay nor does the trailer appear to suggest that either. It is more similar to Thelma & Louise than anything else. It is similar in that it is about camaraderie between two people who America usually does not want to see have any happiness.

Two people on the run from the law one man and one a woman. That’s what I mean by comparing it to Bonnie and Clyde. The movie is even described as a Bonnie and Clyde type movie man
