you can play most games with 700$ PC and a cheap card...GTA IV will run on high settings on a 65$ gpu

when you buy a console, its just paying someone to sell you a throwaway gaming PC with limited functions


the key in all of this is...after you pay for a decent PC. You can just probably upgrade the one you already have
you can literally steal all of the games off every system. Off processor power alone I can play all Nintendo Switch games for free
I torrent all PC shyt you can download all games first week and mod them however you want after. Then I can emulate any game in history and play it whenever for free. Double click and I have every Sega Genesis game ever made for free, and fans will add whole new games off the architecture for free. GTA IV or whatever with extra story and missions etc

all you need is a motherboard that will accept everything then slowly upgrade as needed. Ram, Motherboard and Power run you like 300$ for life. Processor and GPU are dough, but then you bootleg the rest. Play 4k 120 frames forever


I'm an honest example because I DID buy all the shyt besides GPU, spent alot of dough and got Ryzen 9 24-core processor. I figured I'd wait for the new GPU's to drop and they went up in price so I got played. So I had 2k computer for a minute with a 640 graphic card thats like 60$... my processor was so good that it carried anyway. Then I just waited and upgraded Graphic Card later. I dont see a huge difference obvious wise, so it wasnt worth the money, but graphic card wise I can play whatever forever now. For at least 10-15 years. I can just steal and play for free for over a decade now
console IS just a 700$ Pc that you cant upgrade.


If you buy xbox and ps4 then bought XB1X and Ps4 Pro... you spent the same as a graphic card anyways
then you buy ps5 and now ps5 pro....you wasted mad money. Thats already 3k without games

What you're failing to see is that even though you are correct, nobody wants to do that shyt. They don't even want to pay for it when it comes assembled for them, they definitely don't want to build it themselves JUST to play video games.

I've built PCs.. I built my teenager a gaming pc that he plays every single day. But the majority of adults and most of kids are just going to want a Switch or Playstation and call it a day

I agree. I bought a $150 lightly built PC from a cac (who I suspect works in a design/engineering dept, and may or may not take discarded parts and towers home).

It had an old AMD in it and I initially put a new power source in it, a then $200 1660 super, and upgraded to 64GB ram. I was able to play Squad, modded cities skylines with thousands of assets, Arma 3, ready or not (early supporter), baldurs gate 3 (early supporter), all high to ultra settings, with no problems.

I’ve probably put $600 total in this thing. It looks like a nondescript office PC tower that my cat loves to take naps on, but I was able to run everything I wanted to play just fine. You won’t even know it had anything useful inside if I didn’t leave a side panel off to help the fan.

I think people feel like they need to get the top of the line everything because they may not know the ins and outs of how to build or Frankenstein a PC. You’re only spending more than $800 if you don’t know what you’re doing or know what you’re doing, and want the peak all 4K everything experience.

It works perfect for me because I can’t play on my ps5, I can on my PC.

I think I dumped a little under 3k... because I have 3 monitors and I wanted to be able to scroll... game and work on music on the 3rd monitor
I could already do that with small hangups on entry level PC ... and no lie... I still run into very similar problems with upgraded PC

I can, like you said run games well. But I could have skipped alot of shyt and paid around 1300 for a decade long build. I'm not even gonna quote other dude cause he agreed but said I failed to see people dont want to do this... when VR cost 600$ and PS and Xbox cost 500$ and you upgrade twice, maybe 3 times in 10 years. Thats on you at that point. What people are failing to see is that you are probably already talking to me on a PC.... just like you explained to them. You can simply just plug shyt into it and get more out of it snapping Ram and video card takes like 5 minutes for both. nikkas have no problem buying hard drives for porn and connecting them though




and lets say console gave you the option to swap cards and power in the future... people would all love and do that shyt asap ... when its the same shyt you do to a PC, but would never even have to basically people are waiting for pro versions when they are already technically out. Nobody with a computer is upgrading shyt. Even when ps6 and all that come out, it has nothing to offer me that I cant already do on PC at 4k 120 frames. Its really just nonsensical to still believe a console isnt a PC that only has 40% of the capability, at the price of a full PC

your console is an example underpowered shyt tweaked to gain maximum performance. You surely dont think you are playing 4k and 60 frames on 500$ by accident. Why do you think you have the option of performance or quality mode. You adjust your settings to get the most out of what you need, like any piece of equipment. You dont use your front facing camera for highest quality on a phone, but that aint gonna stop you from using the front one.

1. you cant torrent muiltiplayer games n play them online.
2. You need a decent motherboard that supports those higher end cpus that are currently out now
3. If you want performance better than console your going to need a nvidia 3060 or better , a decent gpu ,ram and mobo nvme gen4 ssd, you damn sure dont wanna skimp out on the power supply especially if you upgrade to a stronger gpu.
4. Your going to need a display that showcase the graphic fidelity, and support a high refresh rate. 120 if your going to use a oled tv ,144hz if your using a monitor. Thats like buying another gpu but its a necessity if you wanna see a difference between console n pc.
