A better way to make this shyt believeable would be to have Tariq parcel some of this shyt out to a loyal nerdy sidekick who flies wayyyyy under the radar because he’s busy running the app and finding ways to make sure they have all of their bases covered. That could’ve been the role of the chick who double crossed him in high school but I guess her showing up in the first episode was more about “closure”.
