This cast looks way cheaper (financially and actor pay wise) compared to the original Power series. Surely Mary J and Method Man can’t be taking up that much of the budget.

Because the majority of the actors from Power were accomplished actors and had years of experience plus prior higher level gigs that would have allowed them to negotiate a higher pay.

Meth has even been on legendary shows like The Wire.
