1 thing I picked up in Phila that I keep wit me to this day is boxing on my front steps at 5yrs old. The old heads MADE us fight. Telling you, the city may be alot of things but it doesn't produce pusssies or shook niggz.

word, we stayed busting out the boxing gloves too all summer long.

Yeah, then also got it in on the grimy side as well....Used to cop from up north. Hancock and Diamond had that fire back day.....Smoking on jars of choclate, skunk, Kush, Hydro in the 90's.......

Then take it up to Lions Den and see the strippers parading around at like 3am.......Had great memories fam.


Speaking of Ram Squad, I remember when they had they store on Girard. Saw a car shot the fuuck up outside it one night wit a body hanging out the drivers side door..........needless to say we ain't stick around.


But yeah the Badlands back then was rough, sheeeit really all over the city.

Phila may be democratic, liberal etc but there's alot of segregation in the city. Folks stay to themselves.

Girls are ok in philly but when I'm out of town I'm usually in nyc or Miami and the difference is noticable.

To me this is a no shyt though most of those chicks aren't from there trying to get noticed so of course you going to see more better chicks than here.

Nah I never DJ'd at Palmers ever.....I was doing Vault (formerly Fuzion), did Glounge, Vango, Marathon grill, occasionally Industry 19 now, lot of Penn, Temple, Drexel parties....I've done just about every venue in the city.


Vault actually used to close at 3:30........

There are some bad joints in philly but not enough.....like some other cities.

Dang we used to stay at Vault(fuzion) since my boy could get us in free. You wasn't that DJ that play one verse of the song you vibing too then switch the song were you? If so I was very with your dj'ing

That wasn't me....LOL Vault had like 4-5 different Djs tho. I wasn't there when it was Fuzion tho, just the Vault days since I kinda helped run it. I can say I've seen enough at Vault to never want to purchase or run a club. It's just too risky of a venture.

But a lot of DJs do one verse, one hook & be out because it keeps the energy levels up......as opposed to rocking 2 verses, 2 hooks. With me it depends on the record......but yeah one of the Djs there would play A MILLION RECORDS a night, like not even let the record breathe. I understood it tho......sometimes it's just about the energy, certain crowds, especially college crowds, that's all it's about.

word nightlife fell off something bad...i see a transition to more house music but hip hop clubs used to rule the city delaware ave with club flow andrenaline, gran manzana, egypt, tribeca, 8th floor (spanish but still poppin) then you had other spot cub 27, 027, transit, etc man none of these spots are even open i dont think

wha i used to cop around there a jamaican dude used to sell $10 jars of piff that were like 20's! never saw him tho he used to just slide it under the door we used to cop smoke half and sell the rest and smoke for free...

and yes to the segregation part man its bad but its shifting the eye-talians and irish etc are moving to the burbs and jersey so south philly is changing and in the north the hipsters are taking over

About to do a 48 hour Philly binge this weekend.

years ago a few guys shot up a car with a couple of females and some dudes. I think 2-3 people were killed. One of the women in there was my friend's babymoms.

I heard about this word of mouth back around 03 or 04...not sure.

I dude I used to work with ...his son was in on a robbery at the bodega there and one of the customers tried to stop it he ended up chasing the guy and killing him the bodega owner was shot and survived crazy cause I was jus talking to the kid like a week before and was telling him to stay out of trouble cause he had just gotten fired at his job
