You know what, you're right. I graduated in 2003, so that makes me ancient.

Another thing is my entire time at Penn, I pretty much avoided white people, white frat parties, and white women.


One thing I miss about philly is the hood ass flag/rough touch football league I was in. My team was terrible but that shyt was fun. Our coach was always drunk, team members would go missing for weeks cuz they were in jail, etc. nikkas on other teams got killed (off the field).

I been in there once when I was in highschool. They aint check my ID cause I was like 16. It was nothing but old heads and the dance floor was empty when I went there.

I aint have enough game to pull no old head at the time plus I looked my age

As a Penn student, I went to more Temple parties than Drexel parties.

Now what frat/soror parties are you referring to? CUz the black frats/sorors for Penn, Drexel, & Villanova were the Penn charters. And their on-campus parties were in Houston Hall usually. And their frat houses were off of Penn's campus, so the after parties were Penn dominated too.

Never been there but......

About three years ago on a Sat night around 1a.. i was playing ball at chestnut hill college.... So I take cheltenham Ave to get back home... Im in my car and i pull up to that light in front of Club Jaguar.. Stupid septa pulls in front of me so im waiting there for a min.. I look over to the club and two women are arguing.. Hands in faces.. Talking shyt... Then all of a sudden this one bytch reaches in her bag and pulls out a gun.. Look like a .22... Im like wtf!!! Now the wrestling a bit.. nikkas standing there like yo yo yo.. She actually pops one in the air..yo i went around the bus on the opposite side of traffic just to get outta there..

Not on my recommendation list

Yall really made me realize, I haven't been to the gallery in YEARS.....man I have no reason to even go in there.

Also, the best cheesesteak places are in the hood. I HATE Pats and Genos.....When I get my cheesesteak made I like it fully customizable....None of that with wiz or without wiz crap.....Make my shyt with hot sauce, mushrooms, salt, pepper, ketchup, a little blue cheese if that's how I'm feeling.......I actually haven't had a cheesesteak in years tho.

The nightlife scene is really bad out here....You can't keep anything open because #nikkaS always do something to shut it down. I was DJing a party for a radio host's day and someone got stabbed and 400 people just left, cops shut it down, detained all the workers....nutty

Philly women are pretty terrible if you've been anywhere else in the world.

There are good things about this city but I'm ready to leave.

I agree with the nightlife somewhat but I think its moreso its not that many "luxury" clubs for lack of a better term. Sound like you dj'ing at Palmers too lol. I also wish all the clubs stayed open later than 2. I don't agree with the girls being terrible I honestly feel they are about the same everywhere. Now it might not be as many dimes as certain places but its not like you can't find some quality women here.

When I was in the club every week (my side hustle) I was seeing a lot of busted chicks...but on a day to day, you will see some bad chicks...I repeat...some BAD chicks down center city during business hours.

I think the bad chicks don't frequent clubs, its the attention seeking hood chicks that be in the clubs really.

Our city has bad chicks but you got to find them cause we don't have a NYC or Miami/Cali vibe where its the "in thing" to be seen out and about at certain places.

I remember we used to go down to temple during Spring Fling....

I wish I went to Temple.

EDIT: I have no idea what frats or sororities was hosting, I just remember every Drexel party you will be dry humping these bad chicks and these corny ass frat nikkas want do their steps and shyt...

Forming lines and walking through the crowd yelling all that frat bullshyt. I be there like "damn, fall back. hop on a bytch and chill." them nikkas used be in the way.

Nah I never DJ'd at Palmers ever.....I was doing Vault (formerly Fuzion), did Glounge, Vango, Marathon grill, occasionally Industry 19 now, lot of Penn, Temple, Drexel parties....I've done just about every venue in the city.


Vault actually used to close at 3:30........

There are some bad joints in philly but not enough.....like some other cities.

When I was growing up though, it was THEE place to be. Used to cop all my mixtapes down there in the 90's

Maaaaan memories. Copped mad mixtapes out there then would cross the street and get my MOVIES up!!!!

Grew up out West Phila but had fam all over the city, all over Jerz and NY......

I moved out but I'm still back on the reg.

Still slide thru Redding Terminal wit a chick and grab a bite to eat then walk down to South St.

1 thing I picked up in Phila that I keep wit me to this day is boxing on my front steps at 5yrs old. The old heads MADE us fight. Telling you, the city may be alot of things but it doesn't produce pusssies or shook niggz.
