I used to ride my bike from Rising Sun and the boulevard allll the way to 5th and Glenwood everyday to buy weed when I was a tennager.

5th and Glenwood was the go to weed spot

thats one of the biggest drug spots in the city

they throw a free concert every summer in what would have been one of the groups members birthday and they bring in big name artist from PR

they started doing it in doors recently and all drinks are free

alll I remember is how generous these puerto ricans were. I remember going there to buy a dime one day like i did everyday cause i had a job and this puerto rican cat was like :pachaha: just come through with 70 bucks on fridays and ill give u an ounce :salute:

I had the rastas around my way mad as fukk with that...the rastas was trying to sling ounces for 120 at rising sun and the boulevard. Which is crazy cause even when i wasnt buying the 70 buck ounces from 5th and Glenwood I would come back and sell their nicks for dimes...thats how big and fat their bags were man :sadcam:

but for my peoples, i remember riding around like "Yo, Im about to go to 5th and Glenwood, I'll pick you up something, just buy my a bag" :salute: And I ate real good off that before i got my job! :youngsabo:

Cops nab teen in slaying of 'good Samaritan'

him?

That’s when police say Nieves picked up the gun Friedland had discarded and ran after Del Valle, shooting the good Samaritan several times in the back before standing over his bleeding body where he fell in the middle of 5th Street and firing one last bullet into his head.

*reiterates the attempted hit on John Stanfa"

Noone remembers that? It was one of the boldest hit attempts in American Mafia history!

The fact that NY was trying to put Sicilians here to run shyt and our little kids from South Philly saying "fukk that shyt yo" should be enough to make us proud!

Yea that's him....the his pops lawyer is saying he didn't know his friend was robbing the store and he just say a dude with a gun chasing his boy out the store with the owners gun he picked up a gun that was dropped I guess his boys and chased the dude that was chasing his boy and marked him broad day I don't know tho ..he might get like murder 2 or manslaughter

yo he really wasnt when you think about it....

think about growing up in a neighborhood and going to the schools and the high school but you really a street dude and you got a foreigner running the neighborhood now that grew up in a cave somewhere in Italy:wtb:. You gonna be like :wtb: too.

But then again you right :krs:

The story of the Philly mafia is amazin...we need a decent representation of it in film form. 10th and Wolf was wack as fukk and so inaccurate.

I just think Joey Merlino's story is so dope and dont get no recognition....i mean we can we can write a dope ass script off his come up like :gladbron:

I mean, this dudes story starts from dressing up as Batman on Halloween and carrying a Tec 9 in a trick or treat bag and walking into an Italian restaurant and trying to wack out Nicky Scarfo's jr.....i mean, we could have a mean ass movie man

I mean...dude got shot in his ass and got dozens of attemptes on his life...philly...we could have a dope ass movie off this....and the JBM too...Hollywood is hating us :dwillhuh:

yeah George Anastasia is that dude...and he wrote a book called The Goodfella Tapes about the Philly mob based off FBI bugs...book is dope....sitting there reading some of that shyt and recognizing some of the intersections where some of these goons was meeting is dope. Like at one point, these wiseguys were meeting up and talking at Central High at Broad & Olney and all I could do is be like :dwillhuh:

Merlino was too flashy... Dude was destined to fail

A jbm movie would be cool. What's also interesting is the original black mafia and their ties to the black leadership and Muslim community in town

I agree...they didnt call him the hip hop don and the phillt john gotti for nothing.....but are we gonna act like dude couldnt have a hollywood bomb? :whoa:

Shooting Nicky Scarfo jr in a resturant (when dudes pop was the most ruthless gangster Philly ever saw :dwillhuh: ) then surviving a dozen hit attempts then trying to hit John Stanfa on 76 in rush hour....just being a young bull in south philly...shyt was :krs:....dont act like we dont need a dope ass movie out of that story and its a shame we dont yet
