Originally from North Philly 19th & Norris then moved uptown, West Oak Lane, when my mom got remarried.

"It's like up jump the boogie bang Richard Allen slang that I bring to your door step you ain't heard the raw yet"...RAM Squad mid nineties>>>>>>

My best friend is from Richard Allen and when my mom would let me stay weekends over her house. :ohlawd: The shyt we would get into.

Lamar's at 17th and Cecil B was my spot for a couple of summers when I was still underage.

What part of West Oak Lane was you from. I used to live out there for a minute.

What yall used to get into? :youngsabo:

This thread got me like :to: My pop used to live down Richard Allen and I used to live at my cousins house down 24th and Diamond for the summer. What part of W.O.L. is everyone from? I used to live on Beverly road near King. Family still has a house there.

I used to live off 18th St. Around the corner from Eddie Griffin :rip:.

Off Washington Lane...near Cheltenham Mall.

Listen...she lived on the 12th floor and the elevator rarely worked so when went outside we knew her mother was not coming to find us. Unlike my mom who had no problem rolling up on me.

Ogontz Ave and Limkiln....use to hang around 19th and Cheltenham Ave back in the 90s...the folks still live there, but I moved to NYC for college and then work in the late late 90s.

I've lived in NYC for more than 10 years, and philly is always home, but whenever I go back and catch up with someone, it's like a foreign country there.

Oh..and I heavily co sign RAM Squad back in the day before the Philly rap scene popped off>>>>>>>

A good friend of mine use to record with Tommy Hil. It's funny because younger cats today have never heard of them, but besides the Roots, they were only rappers that were known like that from the area.

Damn, I didn't know this many people on our board lived in Philly...

I live in philly, graduated from Upenn in 2008....DJ in a lot of the big clubs.

I had some of the best nights of my life at the 40th street Marathon grill/Marbar.....so sad it closed. There's a new restaurant there now.

Yall really made me realize, I haven't been to the gallery in YEARS.....man I have no reason to even go in there.

Also, the best cheesesteak places are in the hood. I HATE Pats and Genos.....When I get my cheesesteak made I like it fully customizable....None of that with wiz or without wiz crap.....Make my shyt with hot sauce, mushrooms, salt, pepper, ketchup, a little blue cheese if that's how I'm feeling.......I actually haven't had a cheesesteak in years tho.

The nightlife scene is really bad out here....You can't keep anything open because #nikkaS always do something to shut it down. I was DJing a party for a radio host's day and someone got stabbed and 400 people just left, cops shut it down, detained all the workers....nutty

Philly women are pretty terrible if you've been anywhere else in the world.

There are good things about this city but I'm ready to leave.

I agree with the nightlife somewhat but I think its moreso its not that many "luxury" clubs for lack of a better term. Sound like you dj'ing at Palmers too lol. I also wish all the clubs stayed open later than 2. I don't agree with the girls being terrible I honestly feel they are about the same everywhere. Now it might not be as many dimes as certain places but its not like you can't find some quality women here.
