It was mentioned earlier in the thread (I can't quote mufukkas :why:) but Camilla is a dope character. Wish they introduced her earlier in the series. No spoilers from me, but it was an OK ending to a dope series. It's still fukk Wendy Byrde tho

you can keep with the mental gymnastics all you want, been around enough white women to know that's not the rap they're bumping, especially a 19 yr old white girl. this might half get a pass for a dude, but nah. you'd be pressed to find a 19 yr old black chick listening to those records in 2022, but ruth is :mjlol:

:stopitslime:
Is that really so hard to believe? I’m in Florida and ran into plenty of country white girls that only listen to that type of rap. Maybe that’s why I didn’t take it the way you did

i been around a gang of white people for the last 25 years between HS, college, grad school and work and only met one white girl into music like that and she's an old head like me and from the bronx, every other white girl is into highly commercial rap. furthermore, the streaming numbers for these artists say they aint popping like that and that's with old school fans being available to listen, so yes, it looks quite funny that a white trash 19 yr old girl stays slappin those joints. it feels forced to the point that they're fishing for cool points for her or some shyt, ruth was a good character IMO without the heavyr handed 90's boom bap.

I feel you but Ozark has been using 90’s rap since the beginning, I always alluded that to Ruth but I’m not mad at how you feel :handshake:

I agree about Camilla. In general I think this show did a good job of depicting women in powerful positions and not coming across as forced. shyt the women often outmaneuvered their male counterparts most of the time. Wendy had more heart for the crime life than Marty, Ruth was better at the game than any of the other Langmores, Darlene offing her husband for going “soft”, Helen making moves even putting the goons on her husband and Camilla outplaying her brother.

Why was Nelson going after Ruth again? I know Wendy wanted him to scare the other chick but going after Ruth??

Besides that point, what was the logic in him following her and then just going to her crib for some reason when he saw her at the police station so he knew she was there?? He could have just went in the back seat of the whip and killed her if anything..
Why was he after her?

I was entertained but I wasn’t feeling the ending after thinking about it more to be honest. I thought they had the table set up pretty well for one last showdown between Wendy and Ruth, so it felt weird to let Camilla have that last moment instead seeing as her character just got introduced.

It also felt out of character for the show to do Ruth like that but still have the Byrdes get out so cleanly (they hammered home the point that the Byrdes use people and have derailed/ended so many lives… and then they get no comeuppance). I assume they swerved like that on purpose but it felt out of place with all the previous table setting.[\spoiler]

I can't quote anyone:francis:

The ending was right in line with the theme of the show, you should have seen it coming.

One of the few shows I've seen that seems like it was thought out from start to finish.

That said, it's almost like they forgot to mention why Nelson was all of a sudden following Ruth :stopitslime:
