That's the fukking point:skip: the world bends to your will at certain tax brackets but ppl like to play dumb. Madoff turned himself in, the FBI knew Epstein from fukking girls for years, the heir to the Du Ponte fortune repeatedly raped his children and only did probation; Robert Richards.
exactly. also the fact that rich cacs abuse poor cacs just like they do black folks. but poor cacs be acting like it cant and dont happen.. the white on white crime byrde's actually wiped out a whole cac family. then went on about they proper lives back in the chi

The 2nd half was cool. I mean I actually am happy that for ONCE we have an ending that's not cliche like most of these drug-related shows and movies are.

I believe them surviving the crash pretty much sums up the Byrde's the entire series and especially why it ended the way it ended. The Byrde's are ruthless and the epitome of evil, everything they touch winds up being destroyed or to their demise, but yet they ALWAYS come out on top. They SHOULD OF ALL BEEN KILLED from that accident and Wendy was right when talking to the preacher who wrongfully believed it was a sign that God gave their last pass that it was a sign proving they're essentially untouchable. So, Mel said they're NOT supposed to win, because in MOST of these drug cartel films, the bad guys NEVER succeed, he was proven wrong, that the BYRDE'S WILL ALWSYS COME OUT ON TOP, no matter who else doesn't. They WON.

:win:
It won’t let me put a spoiler but while the Byrdes may be ruthless they’re not evil, not good, but far from evil. Evil would be Javi, Wendy’s dad, Schaeffer and the FBI:yeshrug:

i'm just remembering something. there was a beautiful framing shot of marty at the dinner table and wendy in the kitchen in the final episode.

when the camera pans out, you see marty in the dark framed from the broken door symbolizing where he ended up. he's a broken man that lost everything to get to this point.

wendy, on the other hand, is in a kitchen with a florescent light symbolizing how she's business as usual in a cold, heartless game. she's shining in a place where marty is in the dark.

there were a few of these types of shots throughout the season that were foreshadowing, too. but i'd have to go back and rewatch. id always forget those shots cause something crazy happens in the episode

It was very good.

I didn't "like" how it ended.. but I like that I didn't like it.?

For it to have ended the way I wanted it to end would be sort of boring.. for it to end the way it was "supposed" to end would be a little boring.

This ending was disturbing and a bold statement and thought provoking. It bummed me out a little and it made me face some hard truths.

That's a pretty interesting outcome. So even though I didn't "like" it, it was very well done.

I get that point.. The ending was just anticlimactic in the way it was done to me

I actually thought this was going to end 1 of 3 ways agree watching like the 2nd or third episode of this second half.. Either everybody dies, Marty was going to have to kill Wendy or "let" her die, or they all live.

:ohhh:Damn you right and what more fukk up about it was a member of the poor cac family ruth that help them kill them off. shyt lowkey this story highlight the class struggle between rich vs poor and how the poor help the rich undermined other poor people trying to get one over the rich:whoo:

Basically the ending is the definition of “nice guys finish last” :mjlol:. Hard truth about this world if you’re a good person you gonna lose at this game of life. For all of Marty’s good intentions, you need Wendy’s ruthlessness to make it or get you over the line.

Wendy’s dad was an evil b*stard. You can see that sht from a mile away…if Wendy is the way she is, how did she get like that?

By the way, Wendys face when she realized her son was gonna kill Mel and save them is wild. bytch was gleeful…:damn:. Basically if you not Marty or her kids…stay out of her way.

It annoys the shyt out of me that Wendy is still alive after all this
Damn near raised my blood pressure :snoop:
A redneck listening to Illmatic...ya okay

The hip hop used in this series so out of place and cringey if I'm be honest.
yea, while I enjoy it getting shine, the reality of some 19 yr old white trash chick from the sticks of Missouri being into 90’s hip hop - east coast only of course for the “real hip hop heads” - just doesnt fly. And the cameo by killer Mike was so beyond unnecessary. If it were modern hip hop, maybe, but there is such a large skew between male and female hip hop listeners, especially among white people. Nah, it’s not realistic that Ruth langmore only listened to nas, wu, mobb, and big.
