I would have more faith if he or dave filoni got the job but apprently both of them have said they don't want it. Just content to do what they do within their own shows.

I can see the hesitation, Star Wars fans are crazy. But the franchise does need a fresh but knowledgeable set of eyes.

Enough of the Skywalkers, time they moved on to something new for a while.
Filoni overrated imo

An OK finale doesn't make up for what was an appalling first 4 episodes. Even episode 5 had some moments that were :snoop:

This was not a great show, the fight choreography was a lot better than that dusty fight they had earlier in the season but still lacking. The music in the finale was all over the place. Don't get me started on the Reva and Luke nonsense.

If this show had a fully solid script this could have been something special. I'm shocked they went into production with a script so lacklustre. But Kathleen Kennedy has been an awful leader on this franchise.

I do hope they leave it here though. They've already stretched things with the Leia and Obi-wan stuff.

the fact that not once but twice Obi-wan didn't finish Vader off is one of the dumbest things ever.

It's nonsense like that why they should avoid going back to this stuff.
Last episode was the best one
I liked Revas arc ending
Everything before was mediocre

I wish the scale of the story was smaller

Unpopular opinion, but honestly Black actors should stay the fukk away from Star Wars. They're not given strong enough material and characters to justify dealing with all the stress, flack and racism they get from the fanbase, and the series doesn't really open a lot of other doors in Hollywood.

Let these idiots have their mediocre franchise.
A lot of them are poorly written as well. Compare Reva and Finn to Lando and Mace Windu. I guess that's because Lucas was 100 behind the first six movies compared to Disney's output.

Show was decent but it's not something that I'll go back and watch again. Cool seeing Vader and Obi-Wan go at it again. Disney needs to stop playing and give us a Vader series or movie that takes place right after Episode 3 where so we can see Anakin consolidate power and become the number 2 man in the empire.

We need more of Vader from Rogue One's ending. :demonic:

I feel like Vader only works in Michael Myer/Jason territory.

Since we can’t see his thoughts or emotions, the story has to come from the characters he interacts with. The Rogue One ending works because he comes in after you think the characters got the W and boom we are running again.

Isn't the fact that Darth Vader is a psychopath who spends most of his time terrorizing the galaxy and murdering people a good enough reason?

if Obi-Wan killed while wanting to kill he would run the risk of shifting to the darkside himself.

And re: Mace Windu being willing and able to kill Palpatine

"The novel explores Windu's unique talent of sensing "shatterpoints", faultlines in the Force which allow him to exploit his enemies' weaknesses. It also explains that Windu is the creator and sole master of a style of lightsaber combat called Vaapad, in which the user skirts dangerously close to the dark side by enjoying the thrill of the fight. All others who attempted to master the form either gave in to the dark side or were unable to properly master the technique. Stover later referenced Windu's unique lightsaber-fighting abilities in his novelization of Revenge of the Sith. Vaapad was also acknowledged in the 2010 reference book The Jedi Path.[17]"

Obi has a real weakness for Anakin and this episode confirms it

Still feels guilty for Anakins turn even though he had nothing to do with it. Anakin literally tells him “I’m not your failure”

Beats him in battle but then his unfounded guilt makes him spare him. Not sure if this is just about his character or shady writing

it makes sense because in new hope he didn’t even put up a fight and let Vader kill him.

Obi wan is on :demonic: when it comes to any other opponent

But just mentioning Anakin has him like
:sadcam:
Obi Wan knew he’d be much more helpful to Luke as a force ghost

Yup. We all know how bad Finn was. I was optimistic about Reva at first, but they dropped the ball hard at the end here. Just makes me so frustrated, given how much shyt Moses got, and now they just add extra fuel to the hate by fukking up the writing.
