Now to say something good and not sound like I don’t enjoy anything, the one thing Disney has got right is Vader.

I was never afraid of Vader as a kid, in fact he always looked stiff and wack to me. My dads generation thought he was scary but they also thought the exorcist was scary.

Now Vader is a legit monster, I wasn’t even mad when Bendan hit the

I thought it was a good episode. Showing how broken Obi is and how scary Vader is.

I really wanna see how Kenobi reconnects fully with the Force and is able to become the sage beast that is able to slay Darth Maul in 3 seconds :wow:

Everything else about the show I can live without though. I think Reva might have a dope backstory but with only 3 episodes left I think she's a lost cause, at least for this series. Leia is :camby: status. We did not need her in this show, and casting a 6 year old to play a 10 year old who is supposed to think and act like an adult ain't helping. I could've lived with her being in 2 episodes but the whole damn show? fukk you Kathleen Kennedy :pacspit:

I think it's a fun show with some flaws. With that being said is this going to be a ongoing series or just a miniseries?
I agree with those who said this should have been one standalone movie. It seems they are stretching out the story to fulfill the pace of episodic tv instead of telling a better story.
A mini-series.

However, with the show's popularity and McGregor being open to it. A season 2 could definitely be in the cards.

Chill out. The child actress who's playing Leia is good. Also, it's interesting seeing Leia's childhood and more of Alderaan.

Anyways, they're most likely going to...
...have Obi-Wan re-connect with Qui-Gon (Liam Neeson) as a Force Ghost and have Qui-Gon guide him back to Revenge of the Sith level Obi.

The little kid is a good actress and does her best with what she's given but I really didn't need her story to take 1/4 (or more) of each episode. Having her being the reason Obi leaves Tatooine was a smart move, but that mission could've ended in episode 2 and then we just focus on Kenobi which is by far the best and most compelling stuff.

They've been building to Qui Gon since the preview in episode 1 so we are for sure getting that. But he needs to have a breakthrough to get there and I wonder what is it gonna be :lupe:

Disney trying to create this poorly thought out nuance with this dark side, light side shyt. There is a reason they inserted that line about Obi Wan being taken from his parents. Oh no the Jedi are kidnapping children just like Vader! I guarantee that’s going to be Revas plot. She was kidnapped from her parents by Jedi and that’s why she hates them :hhh:

Hopefully they don't go that route (it would be dumb) because -

1. The Jedi don't "kidnap" kids, they only take them with the family's permission. They literally aren't allowed to take kids without consent from the family.

2. Even if they did kidnap kids (and again, it's canon that they don't), I don't see how that's Obi-Wan's fault, so it would still be irrational.

Reva was (most likely) one of the younglings shown in the beginning scene of this series. Some of the younglings were taken and raised to become Inquisitors.

She might feel some hatred/betrayal towards the Jedi for allowing that to happen. Obi-Wan is the most famous & powerful Jedi remaining in the galaxy at this point and she might feel that he is partially responsible.

Based on her speech on Tatooine in front of Owen and the crowd and her reaction to seeing the Jedi Order symbol in the last episode. This is most likely the scenario - though obviously, I'm just speculating and don't know for sure.

I guess, but I really don't see how it's logical to blame Obi-Wan for that, especially while trying to suck up to someone that literally participated in Order 66.

But it wouldn't be the first time a villain had an irrational grudge :manny:

There's only been one "Mary Sue" and that's Rey. And when has Star Wars NOT had bad acting? It's cheesy dialog, bad acting, zany characters..but an awesome mythology.

Sometimes, I wonder if people realize what Star Wars is.

Young Leia was great. How could she be anything but like that as a 10 year old? She was mouthing off at the #2 and Top Goon when we first met her. She laughed at her rescue team, then grabbed the banger on some I gotta do it myself. She's practically lived a double life, in the capitol and kept up her street savvy.

Naw Leia up here beating up Obi Wan. She is 10 years old. What is happening is Disney gets a female character and that female is somehow always stronger and smarter than the males on the show. No matter the age. The female NEVER loses a fight or even gets hurt.

They even did it with the cartoon clone on the Bad Batch.

What is forced diversity? We know racist cacs used this when minorities are cast in their precious "White" commodities.

Also, hate to break it to ya, Star Wars has always had bad acting. Mark Hamill sucked, Hayden Christensen sucked, Jake Lloyd awful, even the acting vets like Portman, McGregor, Ford, MacDiarmid, Jackson could barely make the material work. MacDiarmid was especially cringy in Episode III>

Star Wars arguably peaked with Empire and has been going downhill since.

When they feel they need a female, minority, LGBTQ to be diverse.

This has nothing to do with race. This has everything to do with inclusion. Its nothing wrong with having diversity but at least get people than can truly fill the role. Moses cant act...Period. There are a TON of other females and Black females that can act and do that role 1000% better than she did.
