Disney really hate the old generation of Jedi. They really turned Obi Wan in to a bytch lmao

Dude cutting meat at a regular 9-5 flabby and sick using a blaster like an uncivilized mandolorian bout to give up some cheeks to 3 bumass Storm troopers and ending his mid season episode getting dragged through some fire by Darth Vader who barely putting more effort than when he was killing them village peasants. Vader the whole time in his mask like :hhh:

Leia the whole episode looking at this nicca like :beli:. “Are you my real daddy”

Ben “ I wish I was”:mjcry:

Obi Wan Kenobi who killed Darth Maul, General Grievous, maimed Anakin Skywalker, gave Luke the knowledge to destroy the Death Star getting put on his knees by some Storm Troopers.

Get on the ground now! :birdman:

“Ye..ye…yessir”:flabbynsick:

At the same time, the Republic went down bad on his watch, and his padawan was part of the cause that took it down. His whole life after Attack of the Clones, was based on the last wish of his dying master, on Qui-Gon's strong belief that Anakin was the chosen one, and it all went up in flames. It all led to the family he was forced into, being destroyed.

i feel you, but they just trying to bridge the gap between Revenge of the Sith Kenobi and A New Hope Kenobi. It low key would be jarring to watch him beasting on people in this and suddenly just 9 years later he's the elderly dude in a new hop who gets easily killed by vader.
They are intentionally showing that he is rusty and hasn't done much with the force in years. It's really the fault of the prequels going a little too overboard with the gymnastics in the fight scenes. They should've went more samurai with the sword fights but instead went power rangers
Yeah Obi Wan in this series so far isn’t the prime Obi Wan from the prequels. Dude is like one of those boxers that gets out of shape between fights. He hasn’t been training in the force or with his lightsaber and on top of that he’s shook of Vader like Rocky was shook of Clubber Lang in the third Rocky movie.

And obviously Vader could’ve caught Obi Wan at the end of the episode but in his mind, after seeing Obi Wan reduced to Ricky Hatton levels of ineptitude, he feels that he can catch him whenever he wants and is content to let it play out a little bit. He tells him his suffering is just beginning.

Star Wars fans are some miserable fukks I swear. Y’all dissecting this like it’s a PTA movie and not a Star Wars show.

Nah Obi Wan was styling on Vader the whole movie. He let Vader kill him because not only did he master the force and was basically immortal he knew that Luke making it to an adult was basically curtains for the empire.

He had Vader and he knew it.

If you want to retcon Obi’s time on tattooine show him training a prepubescent Luke so it would explain why Luke learns so fast over just a couple years and is able to take down Vader.

Here’s this disconnected from the force bullshyt. He’s a Jedi he is the force. That’s like being disconnected from breathing. The force is everywhere. It’s everything thing. Yoda explained this shyt in the empire strikes back.

“My ally is the force and a powerful ally it is”

Yoda 600 years old living in a swamp with a cane lifting x wings out of ponds and you talking about Obi Wan getting sonned by storm troopers :hhh:

Give this shyt back to George Lucas :damn:

I think it was implied in Empire and Return of Jedi that Luke spend a significant amount of time training actually. It's just a two hour movie though so from our perspective only 30 minutes passed. but he was on Dagobah for a good minute.

Ok so that’s one example, and it’s probably the most powerful jedi who ever lived lol, and who’s not riddled with guilt from chopping up and barbecuing his best friend. Also he’s living on a planet by himself not trying to blend in like Obi Wan so stands to reason he could do more training in regards to force shyt.

Also there’s been examples of jedis cutting themselves off from the force before back when Lucas was in control. Let’s not act like people wouldn’t be bytching if Lucas was still calling shots.

They gonna be rolling out the same fukking actors to reprise the same fukking roles until eternity and when they die they will CGI them in like they did with Luke in the mandolorian. All to avoid any type of risk from being creative and not purely relying on nostalgia.

I'm enjoying this show better than boring ass boba fett and even more than the maladorian

disney + hasn't dropped a wack star wars live action show thus far. they are 3/3 IMO.

I enjoy the star wars shows better than the marvel shows. they are bombarding us with too much marvel about characters I don't give a fukk about. hawkeye, loki, and moon night are not really holding my attention.

The Jedi Order that lasted for thousands of generations was destroyed under his watch. Why would Yoda feel any less guilty than Obi Wan?

Guilt is a dark side emotion. Yoda and Obi Wan didn’t have time for guilt because their number one mission was to destroy the empire. They didn’t even care about Luke over the mission.

Obi Wan “that boy is our last hope”

Yoda “ Nope, there is another” :yeshrug:

Disney trying to create this poorly thought out nuance with this dark side, light side shyt. There is a reason they inserted that line about Obi Wan being taken from his parents. Oh no the Jedi are kidnapping children just like Vader! I guarantee that’s going to be Revas plot. She was kidnapped from her parents by Jedi and that’s why she hates them :hhh:

I think it's a fun show with some flaws. With that being said is this going to be a ongoing series or just a miniseries?
I agree with those who said this should have been one standalone movie. It seems they are stretching out the story to fulfill the pace of episodic tv instead of telling a better story.
