Yeah I thought Stakeland was very well done.
It was one of those movies where, you think it's concept/setting is gonna drag it down under the weight of its associated tropes, but it actually manages to kind of, live beyond it's means, so to speak, by keeping the story relatively simple and a surprising amount of character growth.
Only thing I disliked : How come dude ended up being so close to the girl at the end? Whole movie hints at him getting with the pregnant chick...then at the end he's just like
and is suggested to be with the blonde. I thought that was a little awkward.
