Wait u don't think Alchemist works dope with Nas?

I think Alc's work, with the exception of "One Never Knows", is sub par compared to Nas's works with Premo/Large Pro/Salaam Remi/LES. Even random nikkas like Hill Inc and Hillie Hill (same person?) who made "Level 7", which is a better beat than almost anything Alc ever made with Nas.

Consistency is key. If you're gonna go to the regulars, go to the dudes who've made career highlights. Y'all saying Nas should work with No ID, a weak ass producer who has made zero classic (or close) Nas tracks despite the number of times he's gotten Nas in the studio.

Otherwise, work with new randoms because they might have fire.

Nas Best Go To - XXL

I'm looking at this list.

10. Dame Grease
9. Damien and Stephen Marley
8. No ID
7. Alchemist
6. Chucky Thompson
5. Large Professor
4. L.E.S.
3. DJ Premier
2. Trackmasters (REALLY?! above fukking Premo?!)
1. Salaam Remi (:snoop:)

The bottom 5 (6-10) should be nowhere near a Nas album.

They got Dame Grease in there. Dame fukking Grease?! LMAO. who writes this shyt?! Dame Grease has not made ONE banger for Nas, ever. Dude is involved with some of Nas's woat albums ever. No ID? name ONE banger he gave Nas.

You leave Chucky Thompson, LES and Salaam Remi to their own devices and you get Streets Disciple.

If I never hear a new Nas-Salaam collab I'm good. Even though "Made You Look" is a monster beat, Salaam has produced so many duds it's not even funny.

Nah. Can't agree wit u. Alc gave Nas fire. from "My Way" to "No Ideas Original" to "Book Of Rhymes" to "Revolutionary Warfare" to "Mastermind" to "Tick Tock". All classic shyt. Also Kanye laced Nas too. Wit "Poppa Was A Playa" and "Still Dreamin". "Mean The World To Me" is dope too.

if that's classic shyt, then what's "Nas Is Like?" "Represent?" "2nd Childhood?" God tier?

we gotta stop calling everything classic. Aint nobody going to lose their shyt at a show over a Nas/Alc song. But Premo? You better believe it.

Alc has zero songs on the level of the ones produced by the top 5 on that list.

U buggin. My Way is a classic track. No Ideas Original is a classic track. Book of Rhymes is a classic track. Tick Tock is a classic track. nikka any Nas fan would tell u these are classic Nas songs. His classic songs aren't only the ones YOU feel are classic. These are songs instantly recognizable by any true Nas fan as some of his best in his catalog. U just being narrowminded.

:duck:

they're only classic to mostly whiteboys who love to overrate anything Alchemist.

You know damn well they exist in a tier noticeably below Premo/Nas collabs (for example)

We actin like "No Ideas Original" and "Book Of Rhymes" ain't classic Nas tracks now?

I agree Alc hasn't given Nas a classic track but my view is that Alc is one of the best producers in rap thus I want him involved. He's been on an incredible run over the last few years including two dope instrumental tracks this year.

I want bangers, and Alc can provide that.

I'm curious what producers you'd like @SirBiatch

cmon son. Let's not go for weak targets here. Keep your eyes on the ball.

The vast majority of Premo/Nas collab blow Alc out the water. It's not even remotely close. That's why you're struggling to pick "Come Get Me" because you know if you start talking about "Nas Is Like", "2nd Childhood", "NY state of mind (1 or 2)", "Memory Lane" or "Represent", this convo is already over.

Self Conscience is better than any Nas/Alc collab not called "One Never Knows". That's it. Self Conscience > all other Nas/Alc tracks.

No Ideas Original and Book of Rhymes are mostly classic to Alc fans. Alc fans don't live in the real world for the most part.

No Ideas Original is an amazing song, I just won't call it classic. It would be classic for most rappers. But can I put it in the same box with tracks like One Love, NY State Of Mind, I Gave You Power, Nas Is Like, One Mic, etc? Personally I can't. That doesn't mean it's not dope lol.

I'm the type of guy who doesn't use the word classic lightly. I'm real stingy with it...

nikka the fukk kinda nikka gonna compare Illmatic tracks tho?. That's what I'm sayin. And what's wrong wit liking Alchemist as a producer? Mobb Deeps "The Realest" ain't a classic? "Keep It Thoro" ain't a classic? "We Gonna Make It" ain't a classic? Aint shyt wrong wit liking Alchemist. Matter of fact. The shyt he did for Curren$y on Covert Coup>>>>> anything Premo did in a minute. Real talk.

First off. No Ideas Original as a song >>>>> One Mic. Why can't it be put wit em? nikkas naming the absolute best songs in this nikkas 20+ year career to justify not calling certain songs classic. Nah I can't get wit that. Just cause he has better songs don't mean the other songs ain't classic.

Thank you. I'm not saying they're terrible tracks, but they're NOT classic. Lettuce be real here. They're fairly average or a bit above average. Nothing more.

but my view is that Alc is one of the best producers in rap thus I want him involved. He's been on an incredible run over the last few years including two dope instrumental tracks this year.

I'd love to hear Nas over a Juju beat if Juju actually has a dope beat for Nas. shyt worked wonders for Ghostface. and Timbaland of course (a great Timbo beat for once).

Maybe Diamond D or Lord Finesse have one dope beat in the stash that never got used. The vast majority of B tier 90s producers are washed up, but there's always one diamond in the stash.

I'm still a massive fan of 2011-2012 Clams Casino but I dunno if that really fits Nas. Nas is great on atmospheric shyt, but Clams might be too much (and too soft).

Honestly, I dunno. It's not really about names at this point - it's about whoever actually has the goods. The only person I would trust to give a banger to Nas is Premo. But even Premo has seen his best days.

That's the thing tho. Keep It Thoro is a classic Prodigy record. It's easily one of his absolute best, perfect songs. We Gon Make It is a classic Jada record, easily one of his best. Can you honestly say Book Of Rhymes is one of Nas' best, standout tracks in the same way those other tracks are for P and Jada? I don't think so.

When you play Keep It Thoro the crowd goes crazy. We Gon Make It makes the crowd to crazy. No Ideas Original doesn't do that, in fact does Nas even perform it live? Meanwhile you know what makes a crowd to wild? Made You Look. Because it's a classic Nas record.

You got classic tier and great tier. I'd put No Ideas Original in the great tier. I'd also put NY State Of Mind 2 in there. Amazing song, wouldn't call it classic. Dunno why Nas never put it in his live sets consistently, that beat knocks...
