I was just looking through my It Was Written album booklet and found out that "JoJo" from K-Ci & JoJo is the breh who's singing the hook on "Black Girl Lost" after all these years :ohhh: :mindblown:

I literally just found that out last year. Crazy. Makes the song even doper now.

Dave Ghrol interviews Nas on Chelseas Lately. :mindblown:

Listening to HHID.

Remembers, when all those happy-go-lucky rappers caught feelings because of the album title, not realizing it was Nas ode to what Hip-Hope meant to him. :pachaha:

Big radio, tape slowin' down
Lower the lights go, battery dead
I gotta freeze 'em 'til they ice cold
In the freezer later, I'm starin' at the speaker
Sunk in them 808's deeper, cleanin' my sneakers
Wit the bristles of a toothbrush, soap and water
I let the shoe strings soak in water...

You didn't gow up with struggles, if you can't relate to these real bars. :ohlawd::blessed::ahh:

The best part was Busta and them nodding in unison along to the GOAT's performance. :ahh: :noah:

Busta has always been a Nas stan. :ahh:

"Nas never needed a ghostwriter in his life--and I don't have to ask nobody to confirm that. I know what I saw with my own two! I'm not taking away from nobody and what they do. I'm not even knocking ghostwriters. To each his own. Get your money how you live. Whatever way you got to live, get it the way you got to get it. I don't knock nobody's hustle, but Nas needing a ghostwriter, using a ghostwriter, or having a ghostwriter--for me to believe that, a n*gga would d*mn near have to swallow gunpowder, swallow a match, blow himself up and float around on some Daffy Duck sh*t [Laughs]." (VIBE)

Just finished listening to Lost Tape.

That came out, my freshmen year in college.

Every song on here was classic Hip-Hop perfection, but that Drunk By Myself :lawd:

I would play it 15 times in a row, and just let it absorb me. :ohlawd:
