This is a weird album because individually I fukks with all the tracks, but as an album I don't often go back to it, and it ranks quite low for me.
Maybe the strangest album in his discography. Feel like it was well received in real time, I know I played it a lot. But the online reputation in recent years seem real negative. There's a lot of quality tracks on there where he's rapping at an elite level though.
I’m the same way when it comes to hip hop is dead. I’ve always felt for that title alone, it needed to be a top tier Nas album sonically. That would have been a good album to tap in on true boom bap sounds. It does have highlights though.

I can’t believe it’s been a year since Define My Name dropped. It’s probably good they put some space between this and the Magic/KD series. Feels like whatever drops next will be looked at as a different era of his career.
He has a video shot scheduled for tomorrow in his calendar, so if it's related to the album, perhaps a new single, we should be getting something this month.
Wouldn't even surprise me if it's the full album, they had a lot of studio sessions lately it seems, maybe they're finishing up the whole thing.

I dont think he meant anything deeper than what he said. Just him being descriptive.
Like saying It’s so important that everything stops, it sucks the air out of the room, you feel it coming but don’t know what it is yet, you just know it’s going to be heavy.
