Wishful thinking, but...

I feel like the order listed in the teaser was the initial plan for those album releases. With Nas being first and followed by Rick and then Rae.

Someone on here said they're hearing Nas is dropping on April 25th. I came across another random comment on social media saying the 25th as well.

Wouldn't surprise me if Nas was supposed to drop first, on the 18th, but that was switched with Rick for whatever reason. Nas, Rick, and Rae are the first 3 listed and there are tentative dates rumored for Rick and Rae, which does not seem like a coincidence.

Reddit dude replied with "April 19th is a Nas and Premo anniversary (Illmatic release)" when asked for an update on Nas' album. Reddit dude doesn't miss with the info so I just wouldn't be surprised if Esco dropped this month.

Excited for all of them especially Nas and Preme, but can’t believe they got Slick Rick to actually record another album. Imagine an album full of Auditorium type joints.

Also I can't help but think back to the seven track album run Kanye announced lol. This should be way doper than that.

Nas is wayyyy more strategic than Kanye has ever been as evidenced by even this announcement.

Plus at least a few of these albums have been in the works for a few years now (Nas+Premo and Mobb Deep) and last I heard Slick Rick was signed to Idris Elba’s label so i’m mildly surprised he’s on Mass Appeal now. But Nas seems to be doing good business by the artists he signs so i’m hopeful that they’ll give him they’re all with these albums.

I was thinking that too but I doubt Nas would drop the week after Slick Rick. I think he’ll give each album a little time to breathe. I know we’re not expecting blockbuster sells or anything but it would be nice to let each artist at least have a little press run before the next album takes the attention.

Big L had enough material left for an entire project?
Would like to know more on this too. I know his brother released some compilations, as well as selling Big Picture, Danger Zone and some rhymebooks (which include song rights for tribute songs) to RBC, and that label was eventually acquired by BMG. I just find it hard to believe he had anything left, as the post-humous projects were already stretched thin, with double appearances of songs, uses of freestyles and live shows. Lord Finesse even said songs he did for DITC were included in the RBC deal.

It's possible they worked with Sony/BMG to license a few verses from various projects for a remix album, or worked a deal for the rhymebooks to have featured artists draw inspiration from. But I'm pretty sure we've heard all of the original content that Big L had left in any decent quality.

Thats what I was pondering.

Mass Appeal did a decent job with the posthumous albums for Pimp C and Dilla but Big L is another matter entirely with the dearth of material. I’m not sure fans would be happy with another “remix” album, especially given that Mobb and De La Soul will more than likely include at least 90% “new” (never heard before) material.

Its a risky gambit but I trust Nas to do Big L justice

Nas doing a show in Abu Dhabi on the 25th So I dont know if hes dropping on that day. Only cause I think he'd wanna be in NY and do a release party etc. But I just guessing.

That screenshot of his calendar made it look like they were in the midst of recording still in Feb/March so the mixing and tracklisting would probably take a few weeks after.
