It's also generational. Drake, Cole, and Kendrick will end up as top 10 rappers in many casual lists a decade from now whether people like it or not lol. Future will be on lists, Gucci, Kanye will be higher than on the Billboard list, Wayne will be higher, etc. The same way there was a time when you couldn't find a list that didn't have Rakim or KRS in the top ten, until Pac/Biggie/Nas/Jay started replacing them.

Which will be wack because lyrically and technically there is a clear progression from Krs LL Cool J and even Rakim, with Nas Jay and Big, but with Drake Wayne Future Kanye Kendrick etc there simply isn’t.

Cole and Kendrick probably the only two who can stand toe to toe with those greats, Cole lyrically and Kendrick more musically the rest such as Future shouldn’t be anywhere near top 10 lists, it’s ok to like artists and still understand that rapping wise there are far more advanced.

NBA Youngboy will be in many lists 10
Years from now also, as will Durk,

Yea, there's no way that kid found Nas on his own at that age. Must be his Dad or Uncle put him on or something. My own son is still listening to YouTuber music. LOL. I mean it's possible but I'm just thinking how did he find Nas and how would a kid that age even understand the things that Nas is saying for it to even hit home for him. Nas is only 7 years my senior so I get it naturally but this doesn't know the streets, pain and real life like that yet. LOLLL. Not hating. Just saying.

That’s quite obvious lol.

Its still bullshyt no matter HOW you spin it.

Kendrick is great but he’s nowhere NEAR Nas level in terms of…anything really. If anything he should have had Drake’s spot at number 8 but if we’re keeping it all the way real Nicki, Drake, nor Kendrick belong in the top ten quite yet. Kendrick has the best claim amongst them for top 15.

Kendrick is great all round and Good Kid Mad City is in my top 5-6 rap albums of all
time but lyrically the kid is very overrated, a lot of corny lines, sometimes can say something profound but has a lot of filler, someone like Mos Def would be considered a fat better rapper in my books.

He’s like the mid way point between Em and Andre, not as technically good as Em and not as profound and poetic as Andre, but he can make great albums I give him that.

Would be somewhere in the Top 20 for me alongside Drake.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
You are right because Kendrick and Cole are two of the biggest rappers of this generation top 10 in Rap history for sales and both are conscious mcs, Nas would have been even bigger in this generation in terms of sales.
Nas was huge in sales in his own generation. Lol. nikka got like 7 straight plat albums. Lol

Yeah I know but Cole Kendrick and Drake have been top 3-5 in sales for the last 10 years every time they release an album.

So dope that they're coming to the Verizon Center this time. I had to go way out in VA to see them last year.
