Cryptic ass shyt but I think I get it

He's trying to say that it's them then everyone else....I think.
Exactly Billboard didn't want the Jay-z vs Nas argument again so they did the safe thing. Put Jay at 1 Nas 3rd objectively wtf does Kendrick do better than Nas? to be rated higher than him?

He shoulda put more sauce on Nas’s actual accomplishments WITH these recent albums

Oldest Rapper to ever win Best Rap Album at the Grammys

Tied with Jay-Z as the only rapper with 16 Billboard Top Ten charting albums

KD3 the highest acclaimed rap album of 2022

Sold out Madison Square Garden

Kendrick is getting the push to be this generations god MC and we've seen it pretty much since Section 11 (remember when he won BET Lyricist of the year in 2012 before GKMC came out)

So all things considered, given that Hov and K Dot are like the super media darlings, the white hipster favorites for Nas to be that high at 3 means people had to give it up for him still

for those that were there, how was the crowd for the KD/ Magic stuff? hard to tell from the videos. Watched few videos and naturally crowds ain't as hyped as the older classics, but when videos pan to people in the crowd loads of people rapping along.

i always feel in some ways Nas came up in the wrong era. Nas was on the 'woke' (hate the term) conscious street shyt from day 1. But hip hop in the mainstream wasn't in that space in the 90s and 00s the way it is now.

Like back then I Gave You Power just wasn't seen as a song to release as a single. Nowadays that with a video would go crazy.

It's also generational. Drake, Cole, and Kendrick will end up as top 10 rappers in many casual lists a decade from now whether people like it or not lol. Future will be on lists, Gucci, Kanye will be higher than on the Billboard list, Wayne will be higher, etc. The same way there was a time when you couldn't find a list that didn't have Rakim or KRS in the top ten, until Pac/Biggie/Nas/Jay started replacing them.

Its still bullshyt no matter HOW you spin it.

Kendrick is great but he’s nowhere NEAR Nas level in terms of…anything really. If anything he should have had Drake’s spot at number 8 but if we’re keeping it all the way real Nicki, Drake, nor Kendrick belong in the top ten quite yet. Kendrick has the best claim amongst them for top 15.

Besides the early entry and seat itself being incredible, I got an exclusive vip T shirt, poster, card and dice.

Was the poster like the flyer with the black background and red font? Or was it something else?

Yea, there's no way that kid found Nas on his own at that age. Must be his Dad or Uncle put him on or something. My own son is still listening to YouTuber music. LOL. I mean it's possible but I'm just thinking how did he find Nas and how would a kid that age even understand the things that Nas is saying for it to even hit home for him. Nas is only 7 years my senior so I get it naturally but this doesn't know the streets, pain and real life like that yet. LOLLL. Not hating. Just saying.
