Chick is def an insider. You may not like her persona but she seems legit.

were you in the live?
No. But I talked to Nas personally yesterday and he told me not to believe her because she's a fraud. He also told me he's considering quitting music to become a bare knuckle boxer. It's been hard touring for him because he's barely had time to practice karate for his next fight. He's had to bring his sensei with him everywhere he goes in order to stay fit. He was going to give Lil Baby a verse for his album, but he offered to take him out for a spaghetti dinner, and Nas knows his real friends would have known that he prefers hamburgers. They haven't spoken since. Cam'ron and Nas squashed their beef when they ran into each other at the airport. They shook hands and took a picture, but Cam'ron doesn't know that Nas was grossed out and he immediately went to scrub his hand clean afterwards. He told me "fukk Cam'ron for life, he got that House In Virginia." He told me he did a full collab album with Jay-Z that Preemo produced, but he shelved it because he's worried about fan reaction. He knows his fans prefer to hear him with artists like Lil Durk and Lil Nas X, and he wouldn't want to disappoint them. :troll:

The Firm
EPMD and Eminem
Lauryn Hill
Charlie Wilson
A$AP Rocky

Were great features, I'll admit I couldn't really care for the others but I don't really have a problem with them either, they didn't ruin anything atleast.
I'll just go over all the featured songs:

Car#85: Insta-Classic. Charlie Wilson meshes with Nas perfectly.
Replace Me: Nas sounds bad on this. Big Sean sounds better.
Til the War Is Won: It's alright, but not spectacular. There's not much chemistry, but there's nothing that sounds bad.
All Bad: Sounded like a mess, and I like A.Paak.
Full Circle: Nas, AZ, and Mega sound fine, but Foxy is way off-topic.
Spicy (Bonus): Nas and Fivio suck on this, but Ferg sounds great. Maybe Nas would do better today though.

The Pressure: IDK if it's Tolliver or Miller on this, but they sound OK. Thing is, they're in the background and out of the way, so Nas can work without constraints.
EPMD2: EPMD and Eminem suck on this. Nas sounds good.
YKTV: Nas sounds good. Boogie sucks, YG sounds like YG. No real chemistry on this track.
Nobody: Insta-Classic. Nas sounds incredible, and L-Boogie sounds even better.
No Phony Love: Another great track by both.
Brunch on Sundays: I barely remember what Blxst does on this. IDK why they even added him. (I don't really like the track that much with or without him though).
Composure: Hit-Boy's verse is respectable, but Nas is too good on this track and ends up blowing him away. It's perfectly suited for him, and I'm actually kind of mad we only got one verse from him here.

Wave Gods: No complaints here. Maybe A$AP Mob just has good chemistry with Hit-Boy? They always seem to sound great with him.

Notice how the saturation of guests grows smaller with each album? Notice how the quality of each release grows? It's not even just the guests; Hit-Boy strips down his own beats so you can hear Nas better with each release.

Nas is a songwriting genius. Just let the man work; no need to crowd him out.

Since we're sharing what was heard I figure I'll chip in as well regardless of relevancy or anything else

She was saying how ghosface was showing off how expensive his outfit was 5 grand this 30 gs that NaS pulls off his pinky ring BOOM 3 MILLION !!!

Just what I briefly caught as I don't really like this type of thing but what others have said is definitely more interesting...
3 Million? My gawd :picard:

There will always be fans who only want Illmatic, or who only want Escobar raps, etc. It’s impossible to please everyone but I think overall Nas is at his best when he’s doing shyt that fits him as a rapper. When Dame Grease and Timbo were hot he tried that stuff and the results were super mixed. Same with Swizz. That stuff wasn’t his lane. Doesn’t mean he should have never done ladies tracks or bangers but some shyt fits and some doesn’t. You give Nas some of the Bad Boys era “trendy” Lox beats for instance and it would work. Give him Ruff Ryders era “trendy” Lox beats and it doesn’t work.

Today there are all types of styles and everyone got an opinion on what he’d sound best on. Some say Griselda beats, some say Ross style beats. Hit Boy has done a great job of giving him a mix of new and older styles. I’d love to hear him over different shyt after KD3.

How is working with a Dame Grease, Swizz or a Timbaland not his lane? I think that is kind of what she meant with the fan base backlash. Just because the results were mixed before doesn't at all mean it isn't his lane. In regard to production, Nas really doesn't have a lane. He's made incredible songs over all kinds of production. I mean if we were going to let the past dictate the direction of Nas's albums, we wouldn't be getting these Hitboy albums considering "Black Girl Lost Pt. 2" sounds nothing sonically or quality wise like anything from the KD series or Magic. The Nasir album should've been classic considering the caliber of producer that Kanye is and that he and Nas have dope track record, but it wasn't, and I'd even argue that 15 second snippet produced by Timbaland was better and more interesting than that entire album. Swizz produced "No Bad Energy" and "Adult Film", which were two of the best songs from Lost Tapes 2.

Mega talks about his current relationship with Nas on this. But it's just a really good interview overall. Probably the most open I've seen from him.
