Wonder what the rush was to release Magic without video, mercy, physicals and promo. I find it odd with such a beautiful piece of work just thrown out there. The project deserved more.

I agree unless Nas really thought of Magic as a “warm up” and KD3 is about to be a genre scorching, legacy defining piece of work. Magic really deserved a full roll out with physicals, Merch, interviews, etc.

All that stuff costs money I guess. Maybe he wanted to test the water and see how people reacted if he just put it out there? I like the underground rollout and feel of Magic, similar feeling to Lost Tapes 1 or finding a rare/unreleased song.

NaS been wanting to drop lost tapes like projects between albums for years he knows we need them fire b side songs…. Now that he off defjam he just fed nikkas with a hitboy lost tapes 3 and we LOVED it nikkas are damn near friending for any new NaS projects after that.

Isn't he working with Sony too now? (it might just be for distribution, but they have unreleased music from Nas in their vault somewhere (I think he has stuff produced by Swiss, Havoc, and RZA).
