I wonder if Grammy’s were after getting a respected hip hop person performing what with the Kanye/ Drake alternative show talk or whatever it is. Nas obviously isn’t going to generate major interest but allows Grammy’s to show it does have respected MCs performing.

Nas performing could have been lined up for ages to be honest though. I’m certain will be some guests though for the set

Do yall ever think about the fact Nas is like 50 years old doing all this? Albums charting relatively high, Grammy wins/noms, always mentioned in pretty much everyone's Top 5 still, Selling out shows, etc... What he's been doing these last 2 years has been underappreciated. Never forget when you're talking about his numbers or hits or whatever that you're speaking about a 50 year old man in hip hop, lol...a culture for kids where being a kid forever is the thing, there's nothing worse than being an old nig and he's still shining and thriving with the youngins. :ahh:

Snoop's last album debuted at #107 on the Billboard 200 and it was released the same week of his Superbowl performance.
Think about that, Snoop has always been a bigger name in pop culture than Nas yet God's Son is outselling him by a very large margin today.
No rapper from the early-mid nineties is selling more albums than Nas this decade, only Hov would if he ever release a new album.

The year 3030
Wave Gods is probably the best bet.

But because KD2 is the actual album nominated I could see maybe a medley of something like Store Run/Brunch On Sundays/ or even Nobody if he can get Lauryn Hill out of seclusion.

EPMD 2 might be the “splashiest” if he could get Eminem.

ain't no one tryna hear slim rapping fast on that beat live

Its too late in the game for this to have been a last minute replacement thing. Award show performances are planned MONTHS in advance. With things like staging/lighting/concepts all negotiated and agreed to beforehand.

Now they COULD be expanding Nas’s set time, which would be a plus.

Bts stans all over Twitter on Nas Grammy post, talking about namjoon would be so
happy whoever that is I’m assuming a member?

Nas would be wise to do a song with them they’re the biggest group in the world and probably his biggest fans at the same time.

BTS are huge Nas fans and one of the members (i’m guessing Namjoon) said that Nas was one of his biggest inspirations.
