Man we have to run the numbers up on Nas next album. That dude is a hip hop treasure.

a lot of first week numbers are ran up by phone farms streaming albums to generate fake hype...that is why there was a sharp decline for that khaled-Nas-Jay track because people like khaled only care about superficial first week's numbers...every gimmicky big name artist do this 'reinvestment' of their streaming revenue back into phone farms https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=phone+streaming+farm we can do a lot of listening and album buying but people are not playing fair out there. eventually they will crack down on fake streams and 'normalize' numbers but they are slow to enforce How the Music Business Can Actually Crack Down on Streaming Fraud

Definitely alot of artificial stuff like that going on. Not a fair fight out here at all.

I feel like there's something fishy going on with some albums which are several months old still charting with a lot of streams but almost no pure sales.

Man that Snoop track on the DMX album is some Life Is Good shyt. Just some smooth ass relationship shyt. Imagine Q-Tip or Kanye on that shyt.
:wow:

The two Nas verses on there are standouts too.

couple thoughts. i went through all the swizz promo interviews he did for the X album and he said jadakiss only had 8 bars? what gives? Jadakiss is known to spit past the bar count....it must have been some scrapped acapella that swizz had lying around. so he didn't call jada for more bars to put on that track? they had at least a month for Jada to lay a better verse before the album roll-out and they had plenty of time given that some people are notorious for making albums in less than a week and submitting it past the soft due date.

we could probably start up a nas discord and chat up Nas shyt in the voice chat section and put that convo up on youtube as our own podcast because everyone else is doing them but some of the podcasts out there are less informed/researched than the people/discussions we got here

still waiting on the Nas version or the OG remix to leak for bath salts (street shyt).

for this to be originally a Life is Good Nas track talking about 'good angel/bad angel', that's extremely on-topic with what's X is about with his Damian figure and how his instincts guide him through this Kurtis Blow culture aka Hip Hop -- Nas probably had a lot to say in 2012 and thematically, that song didn't go with his album addressing his rumor rebuttals and talking about life after divorce, modeled after Marvin Gaye's Here, My Dear....that Nas verse, even on the original, just fell into place in terms of it being a Swizz Beatz produced track and swizz added those 2009 DMX vocals from 'spit that shyt' -- all that remixing was done originally to win a Verzuz beat battle against Just Blaze in 2018, so we have VS to thank for that remix....shyt just fell into place in terms of Swizz not putting it on his Poison album and instead put it on X's album or it could have been on deck for the early Lost Tapes 3 track listing as well

Verzuz battle creators Swizz Beatz and Timbaland are ready for rematch

both swizz and timb have unreleased Nas in the stash they could unleash on the last rounds of the VS

Timb has sinatra in the sands....

swizz has a whole unreleased album with Nas from 2014 Swizz Beatz Says He Fully-Produced An Unreleased Nas Album

...timb might be too loyal not to play his unreleased Nas but swizz has that X mentality and can play unreleased songs just to win

I mentioned this in the Verzuz thread. Timbaland apparently has several songs he produced for Nas in the stash, possibly an album. Large Professor said the songs were crazy. That's quite a compliment coming from Large Professor.

They also have this in the stash:
