Schooling people takes forever; don't bother
I mentioned this in the Verzuz thread. Timbaland apparently has several songs he produced for Nas in the stash, possibly an album. Large Professor said the songs were crazy. That's quite a compliment coming from Large Professor.

They also have this in the stash:

Half of those lyrics were already used for echo. Not sure if Nas is going to rerecord or just have 2 songs with the same verse like Vernon family vs Forbes list.

Also this thread just hit 1500 pages. Nice

Wonder why this wasn't more of a hit? The opening verse is legendary and the song itself is just one of those classic unsung Mariah Remixes. Maybe it's because it has God in the title idk

i think this was when tommy mottola was suppressing mariah's songs in favor for jlo's

The original was a #1 single that went gold. I don't think the remix was eligible to chart because it was packaged with the original when it got released as a single. Therefore, the remix is still counted as a #1 single. Same deal with the "Heartbreaker" remix with Da Brat and Missy. To this day, I still haven't heard the original "Thank God I Found You" and I don't remember what the original "Heartbreaker" sounds like because I only saw remember seeing that video on The Box and not liking the song. The remix dropped and I loved it especially for the "Ain't No Fun" sample.

This is one of those cases where the remix is better than the original. Plus back then there was just something special about a Mariah remix.

He won’t play that cause it turned into a piece from Echo.

This was exactly it. That faggit was also responsible for ruining Michael Jackson’s career.
Not to mention trying to erase all the blackness from Mariah’s music and image. Dude was and is a racist a$$hole. I always look at Al Sharpton funny in part because they trotted him out to defend that piece of shyt from MJ’s accusations.

MJ did various questionable things on his personal life to put it lightly, but everything he said and did concerning the music industry was correct. And it keeps getting proven right especially the way his catalog and estate were handled after death.

Bruh. That cracker was the person who created the whole pedo scandal in the first place. It was a media hit job on MJ for all his Sony deals he just signed at the time. MJ regretted till the day he died that he settled that case because it was easily winnable on some layup shyt cause it was all lies but his people at the time told him that he had bigger things to worry about and to get it out of the way as soon as possible. shyt opened the floodgates for MJ tho with nothing but media lies. The rabbit hole with MJ goes DEEP he’s a clear example of the industry ruining someone’s life. It’s so much shyt that people think is truth that’s straight up lies I can speak on it all day. shyt he’s the one who was trying to get the media to paint Mariah as crazy and mentally ill if u old enough to remember that time frame.
