Mottola did some outright dirty, foul, scum bag acts in his career to put it lightly, but Mariah's Rainbow era wasn't tainted by him. She still had #1 songs and Jennifer Lopez wasn't anywhere as big as Mariah when "Thank God I Found You" was hot.

Mariah does suffer from being bipolar, so that wasn't something really cooked up by Mottola or the media. However, one could argue that being married to him was toxic enough to drive her crazy. Her account of her marriage to him sounds nothing like bliss and more like prison. Mottola even backs up her account. She was more of his prisoner than she was a wife. He was 20 years older than she was.

i wondered about this, but whenever nas pens his letters without an editor, there's random capitalization, fragmented sentence structure, and crazy punctuation -- nas pens his letters like a 2Pac rant....like the open letter to def jam, his instagram 7 pager about kelis, and his album liner notes talking about everything...it's kinda crazy that Nas rhyming skills are impeccable counting bars and putting words into structure but his open journal writing style is all over the place
