there's 3 version. which one do you like more ? I think it was because of clearance issue. I like both the og and the album version, the video version less

The middle one is my favorite one. But the last one is whats on the streaming platforms and on the newer versions of CD’s now. The middle one is what I have.

I Am deservedly gets shytted on, that album is complete mid outside 4 songs.

The original double disc version would've been very good however.

Agreed. I just revisited it the other day because of all the talk just to see if I was wrongfully trippin all these years with my views on the album. Nope, jawn is still slightly above average at best, imo. 4-5 dope songs...the rest is okay.

Kissing, I wanna talk to you, Big Things, We Will Survive, Dr Knockboot, Life is what you make it, Ghetto Prisoners (I love the verses, beat is embarrassing), Money is my bytch and Favor for a favor again I wouldn't miss them, I wouldn't even notice their absence, lol. Not saying they're trash...but mostly forgettable, some more than others.


If you took Nas is Like, Hate Me Now, NYSOM 2 and Undying Love from me though I'm gonna notice you took them shyts ASAP and we got problems, I need my shyts back, lol.

Dudes get too caught up in the "what ifs" regarding the original double album plan. That version was released in a parallel universe brehs. No need to downplay the released version, 22 years later, because the original idea was scrapped. The album as released is still dope!! 4.5 mics, easy.

Nah. He said it was “due”. 2 of em was “due” meaning IWW and I Am was “cool”. He said one was “nah” which would be Nastradamus. The other will Illmatic. That’s a one hot album every 10 year average. So basically Illmatic was a classic, IWW and I Am was aight. And Nastradamus was trash.

Jay know he telling a lie talking about they were cool. Hell IWW better than Jay's debut album . I am is dope minus 2 tracks.

Yea his career was so fukked up that he’s still revered in the game and winning Grammy’s 30 years after his debut. Album did so bad it outsold Jay’s album that same year’s first week sales. Album was so panned it got 4 1/2 mics in the Source when it dropped and remains to be one of Nas’s highest selling albums in his career. U nikkas crazy. Lol

That's not what I'm talking about.
Nas's ALBUM discog would be looked at in a better light if the OG I Am came out.
