So big Sean said nas is dropping and alchemist practically said the same thing. It has to be coming within the next two months right.:lupe:

I listened to every Nas album from Illmatic to God's Son today in the man cave, :wow:, shyt was memorable. We need a album full of recent joints ASAP, I like how he's sounding on that Jhene shyt, his voice and flow, sounds like the Nas we need.

shyt is wide open right now too. No major releases so far, major artists prob pushing their shyt back due to the virus (Rihanna, Adele, Drake, Kendrick, etc). Not a bad time to swoop in with some dope shyt. That being said I think he's gonna wait for summer or fall.

I want to see Nas do something in this new, streaming climate. Get some big names on there, big producers, give us some dope videos go on a press run and just see what happens. Maybe a tour late 2020 or early 2021 depending on the virus. Lets go...

I wouldn't mind nas doing some dope features. I'm with you on that. And bangers in some new updated production.

Its the best of times and worst of times to drop an album now.

Its good because the lane is wide open. No major releases are on the schedule for about a month unless Donald Glover goes ahead drops that “Donald Glover Presents” album.

Its NOT so good because I feel like Nas is one of the few artists who still benefits from a traditional album roll out. (Single/Video/Interviews) and with shyt being shut down like it is you probably can’t shoot videos and do press in the manner that artists are used to.

Also with the NBA and sports leagues being shut down thats a major blow to marketing and promotion as well. If people remember Nas did ALOT of tie in promotion with Life Is Good during the NFL draft and NBA playoffs that year. He also has that Hennessey deal that ran his “Never Stop Never Settle” commercials damn near every commercial break during sports games.

This is NOT me doubting Nas can move units or anything. He debuted at number 10 with Lost Tapes 2 and Number 5 with Nasir even with a botched release and missing almost a day of sales/streams. But I want to see the next Nas album be a BIG event as it deserves to be.

I think Nas would prefer to be a big business man now and continue to rub shoulders in that arena, doing rap is more of a hobby or whenever he feels like it. It’s almost like he is doing that now. He tours and gets his money up and invests it and thats all good. He wants his loot to work for him. He can do this rap shyt when he is inspired to do so and not because he has to, dare I say like Jay Z ( I can’t stand dude). With that being said, Nas will continue to do him and release the music that he wants to release... and more importantly and much to our dismay, when he wants to. Lol.

One thing I do know is that all time greats, in any thing like sports, music, movies and other forms of entertainment began to think about their legacies later in their career. They start doing different types of projects to add to their legacies and sometimes they do more serious projects or more conscious projects. Bold shyt. Nas has more than solidified his legacy and I think that besides a few more projects he is pretty much done. I hate to say this. He has done the bold shyt, the political shyt, the experimental shyt, the commercial shyt. He has opened up the vaults. There is not much more new shyt for him to do. He has some awards to win but that’s going to come simply because of the legend that he is and probably for a project that doesn’t deserve it as much as past projects.

I give Nas 3 more albums tops and I fear it will be features, singles and complications from here in out

Sad to say it.

Aight Nas u the GOAT but Alchemist with that comment seems
like he expects to be on the album.. Let's not overthink this and start tinkering.
We can't afford to leave a My Way and No Ideas Original off an official studio release
this time. Too much is at stake..

If he got joints with Alchemist that he recorded for this album
those songs need to be on the album.. The songs are going to be
hard! Nas and Alchemist have literally never missed in their 16-17
years of working together... Nas take those easy layups and put y'all work
on the album man.. Don't wanna hear about yea I'm saving those for the Lost Tapes 3.
Alchemist said years ago he had a song with Nas called The Toy which was one of the craziest songs
he's ever heard.. Don't wanna hear anymore stories like that.

Nas used to record a lot of material, which in interviews in recent years, he isn't in the studio as much. So he probably doesn't have a bunch of songs where he's mulling over material and only keeping what fits the concept.

If Life Is Good is any indication, he didn't leave much off that album. He pretty much gave us what he recorded. The title track, the other Swizz joint, and a few others were leftover.

Yeah, He gave us those extra bonus tracks and they were all nice. I bet a few of them were going to go on the first Def Jam LT Nas wanted to do.
