My dream formula for Nas is an album driven by NO ID beats with 1 or 2 tracks sprinkled in from any of the following:

Preme
Pete Rock
Alc
Statick
Swizz (Echo level)

Rza, Tanashia was dope but didn't love the other one.
Preme my fav, but eh..

Shyt he did for the last Gangstar was not good at all. First time I ever skimmed a Preme album and never went back.

Pete too. Eh

It's not bad, it's ok to me. My problem isn't the beats or rapping, overall. It just doesn't sound complete. I get that it's Lost Tapes but...the first LT was a complete album with complete songs. LT2 has multiple examples of songs with placeholder choruses (Royalty, Art Of It) or tracks that don't sound complete rap wise (QB Politics). Especially QB Politics...it's a good song, but the initial reaction was like it was a classic track. When you listen to it, it's obviously missing verses. It's an idea, basically. Then there are tracks with verses that feel like they needed to be re-written or sharpened (not because the lyrics are bad, but because the focus of the verse went left). Meanwhile there are tracks that just feel like...meh, I see why this was left off the album. Whereas every track on the first LT feels like it could fit on a 1999-2002 album and be a standout.
Understood. I love the art of it by the way.

I have always been thrilled and very pleased with Nas’ song Film. For him to have a song of that caliber available to just drop on a contest like the ReD Bull DJ competition was incredible. I’ve always wondered how many more versus or songs lyrics of that level available or just sitting around that he hasn’t recorded. This is what intrigues me about his Sony lost tapes and his alternate versions of songs.during his Sony days Nas was telling hood stories And wild shyt. I want that.

Nas in an Alc beat?

Since LIG, lots of people have had a lot to say about the God. I will say this: Nas been writing, working, recording and he has to have what he feels is a very nice stash of good shyt on the shelf for his new project. I believe this because

1) Nasir drops and while it was the Nas project everyone was hoping for after LIG, there is still some quality on there. This means that Nas had whole songs worth of rhymes to spare.
2) TLT2 also had some quality on it and Nas had years worth of recordings to pull from and he pulled some joints with very nice beats.
3) lots has happened in the world and in his life since life is good. Constant rumors about different chicks, racism, etc. there is a lot that can be talked about.

I'm calling it now. This will be a legendary nas album. He heard the mixed reactions from Nasir. Which I personally enjoy. He is taking his time with the production and this will be be classic. It will have some hits too.

Alchemist posted “Its almost that time” under Nas latest IG post a few hours ago .:lupe::blessed:

New album by the summer? :ohhh:
Let's fukking go
:wow:

Maybe Nas is still working with Hip Hop (Joshua Kyambo)? Hip Hop brought Nas to Alch's house/studio a few years ago when he first started exec producing for him. He also was chilling with Alch and Boldy James recently. Maybe Nas returned to that album?

I could be wrong but I feel like Adult Film and No Bad Energy were newer records, perhaps for the album. Or maybe they were from the separate Swizz album. Either way both are great songs...I wonder what else they did and if it'll be added to this album.

Where did you see nas at alc/studio house? Also where did you see him chilling with alc recently with boldy? I agree with you with no bad energy and adult film. I like both of those records, I've heard him and swizz have mad records.
