Nas is on the new Swizz Beatz album that is coming out this summer

also:

Swizz told Pitchfork that the Nas feature on Poison was originally recorded for an as-yet-unreleased Nas full-length the two made together. “I did his album two years ago in one week in L.A.,” he said. “In the studio every day at 12 o’clock, just bang bang bang. Recorded the whole thing, got it all on film. It was an ill process.” Swizz described the Nas tracks as “super crazy, maniac shyt.”

So it makes sense now. Nas recorded full length albums worth of material with different producers. So he did one with Timbaland (Nas kind of confirmed this in 2014), one with Swizz, and possibly one with No ID. We know he did one with Kanye and it is the only one to see the light of day so far.

I dont know if he did full length albums with all these dudes but I guess he did one with Swizz

Who knows if it was good or not.
If I had to guess I bet Nas was rapping much better and focused on it and Swizz for all his hate is a bit more of an evolved producer

But you know how it goes they could have rapped over 10 tracks that sound like Top Down and Imma Hustler and people would have shytted on it and been like Nas picks bad beats, why isnt he with Premier etc etc etc:beli:

At least on paper working with Kanye sounded like fan service to satisfy all the fanbases but well...then the last 2 and a half months happened:mjcry:

There was an interview where Nas says he started a new album with Timbaland shortly after Life Is Good. Timbaland spoke on it in 2013 during the time MCHG was dropping and said Nas's album was gonna be phenomenal after revealing "Sinatra In The Sands".

Swizz played that joint last year (well parts of it) and he added DMX and Jay Z.

What makes me think Nas has these one producer albums is:

1) He just randomly did a 7 song album with Ye

2) Swizz confirmed an album

3) Timbaland hinted at an album

Nas is now signed to himself. He could drop these albums whenever he feels like it.

Cause the song that the beat belongs to, is on his album, so technically he gets a credit for the beat. Cause they had to go on a nas album to get the sample.

Like lets say pizza hut buys their marinara sauce from safeway, and you order catering from pizza hut for a function. You're gonna big up pizza hut, not the marinara sauce company...

I think who ever is an ingredient in the final product gets a credit when it's sampled

@Piff Perkins

I had to give nas a writing credit on my remix of take it in blood even though he didnt write my verses :yeshrug:

you have to give writing credit to who ever owns the og publishing

I remember that but I assumed Timbo just contributed some tracks cause I also heard Nas say he was in the studio with No ID
