I hope Nas releases the album he has on the shelf. I was more excited and hyped about that album than I was about Nasir. I wanted to hear the full version of the snippet Timbaland posted and "Sinatra In The Sands". He also worked with Large Professor, the Beatminerz, Cool &Dre were sending him beats. He also worked with No I.D. and Swizz.

I’m sure he has an album loaded and ready. Not to mention countless, recent Lost Tapes. Here is some of what Nas has in the recent vault since Untitled.

Def Jam

1. Life Is Good (title track) from either Salaam or No ID
2. DJ Toomp tracks (Untitled sessions)
3. Salaam Remi tracks (the snippet plus others from LIG sessions)
4. Swiss beats track w/jadakiss and jay z
5. Pete Rock track (rumored for TLT 2)
6. Static Selectah tracks (at least 2)
7. No ID tracks (LIG sessions)
8. AZ track
9. Premiere tracks
10. Timbaland track (the snippet plus more since they were working on a project)
11. Sinatra in Sand
12. No Such Thing as a Black Jesus (Lost)

Th Sony Vaults is where all the Nasty Nas stuff is. I want that too.

I think Def Jam politics holds up a lot of his projects.

I think it’s just him overthinking it

He did ok at Def Jam with his albums ( not amazing but not bad with those number 1 albums ) and they probably wanted him to drop an album given LIG’s acclaim and he’s a legacy act so I don’t think they were holding him back

I could see it’s revolving management door being an issue though

I guess Drake is just not for me. I like some of his work but this new album is the worst I've heard from him. Nasir wasn't great by any stretch but compared to the snoozefest Drake just dropped. Its not even close. But each to its own.:manny:

Nas's album is softer.

"Not For Radio" and "Adam & Eve" say otherwise. How exactly is Nas's album softer? As I recall, you the same dude that argued Miseducation of Lauryn Hill wasn't a Hip Hop album, but Drake's new album is supposedly more Hip Hop than Nas's new album. I believe the argument you used against Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was that it had a lot of singing on it.
