The movie is only a tiny bit slightly better than Annihilation and since that movie came out 25 years ago, that's a disappointment.

Peaked way too early in the intro and fell gradually only to be carried by scenes with Kano and a few fights.

The original Mortal Kombat still reigns supreme as the best video game movie followed by Sonic The Hedgehog.

Just watched Scorpion’s Revenge. You add about 20 more minutes to it and you have a great MK movie. At this point I think WB should just hire the writers of their animated films to handle the live action ones

I enjoyed this one. It was an improvement over the films from the 1990s and just the first 10 minutes of this MK shyts all over the entirety of MK: Annihilation.

My only two gripes are that it needed more Scorpion and they sort of nerfed Liu Kang in order to make the new character of Cole more important to the mythology.
