Last ep you def saw the lines between "journalism" and "entertainment fluff piece" blur big time. No follow up questions on Jordan being involved with a known degenerate criminal? No follow up on a $50,000 check, which was used in a criminal trial? Blaming the media for driving Jordan out the league is convenient but the gambling issue has always been a major issue that needs REAL journalism. Not fluff pieces. Not Jordan controlling the production and determining who can say what, and who can ask what.

Next ep will be about his dad's death. Will there be any discussion about the rumors it related to gambling? Will he be pressed to admit that yes, he does have a gambling problem? There's clearly something wrong there...and we won't know the truth until he dies. Because there's no way the NBA allows Jordan to dragged down by a massive gambling scandal. Sports journalists know about it...they've hinted at it for years.
Nothing about this claimed to be journalism unless I missed a major element.

Nikkas in this thread had to be going nuts when Kobe and Nas gave interviews :banderas: Episode started with "If I ruled the world" playing :banderas:

When the part about Jordan refusing to endorse the Black senator made me laugh as it so reminded me of :mjpls: smiley

How is journalism in itself NOT a major element of a documentary?

:wtf:

What are you actually saying?

Documentary is a genre of film making, not journalism. A journalist might make a documentary but they are not inherent elements of the genre.

Specific to this you are talking about content controlled by the subject. There isn’t a piece of journalism associated with the project outside of interviewing them for perspective.
