This is some c00n shyt you just wrote. Let's be honest, you only don't care because it's MJ. Athletes who c00n as well as celebs get called out with the quickness on this site and everywhere Black because we are victims in a system of white supremacy and much is expected of them as they are the faces that whites publicize the most. Not us activist folks. But go ahead, c00n for a nikka who wouldn't save your Black ass if your house was on fire and looks funny everytime we come to him in numbers but cac kids come to him and he's smiling his ass off. You fukking imbecile.
Stop it, you don’t know these athletes like that. You can’t live your life and somebody else life at the same time:yeshrug:

No, you missed my point. I don't worship celebrities like the rest of American society. I don't think they should be the answer to our problems. These celebrities/athletes/entertainers don't have masters or a PHD. I never felt like they're qualified for the role American society asks them to play.
The truth is, they are expected to do more than they do even if you aren't looking for Ali from them. At the end of the day, much is expected of Jay-Z, Kanye, Jordan, Bron, Steph, Jerry Rice, etc. To say they don't have a masters or a PhD don't mean shyt if they did or didn't. Ask Henry Lewis Gates if that shyt means shyt to these crackas? They are the face of Blacks globally and locally. You see how passionate nikkas are in this thread for Jordan? You know why? Because he represents the image they want to have. The Black man who isn't scary, everyone loves him, cops ain't harassing him, people see a man before they see a BM, etc. That means a lot to most of us nikkas. Just facts. shyt, same with Pele and Brazil.

More is expected. MJ constantly fails that. He's a fukking liar as well. Anyone with eyes sees that nikka is an addict gambler or at least was. That's like listening to those hoes who be like, I don't have a drinking issue. I control my shyt but she's always on some shyt EVERYTIME you see her. nikka please! Like I said, I get it, I know what MJ image is to nikkas. I know why it's a big deal when you are a victim of white supremacy which we are. But I am not foolish, I expect Jay-Z, MJ, Kanye, Kobe to be pro Black, if they aren't, I will feel some type of way because they are the face of Black folks, like it or not. That's why Black women always talk about Black male privilege. There is none locally but nationally and globally, it's clear as day.

I’ve always found the athletes should be activists thing to be ridiculous. It’s a stick only used against black athletes. It’s bullshyt.
Or maybe it was Black folks who had a line of folks going back to Jackie and others who followed and had expectations that one should say a little something.

Only sell outs tamper Black expectations and pervert it as something wrong

Anyone know of any links to the episodes or if ESPN streams them online? I knocked out shortly before the first one started and not trying to have to watch 4 next Sunday.

You can watch them on demand on the ESPN app mostly commercial free. It's how I've had to rely on watching them because I don't have the time to catch it live.

Shut your stupid ass up. You in here just like me giving opinions about a global figure, these things matter as we Black stupid. Always have, always will. Just because MJ makes you feel good don't mean we can overlook the things he does that impacts us most.

West was weak AF that year too. Outside of Chuck and KJ that suns team was :scust: mark west starting at C, old dusty version of Tom Chambers. barkley never had a chance

Marjerle, young Ced Ceballos, KJ & Chuck. The reason they lost that series was because KJ had taken too much of a step back. After killing very year in he playoffs, he stunk it up that series

nikka, this ain't no boy band. Draymond role is critical to those Warriors just as Klay's and Steph's. Draymond gets the touches, he runs the offense from the key, everything goes through him and on defense, he is their defense. How do you lessen his value to fukking Lance Bass. You sound like a Basketball causal. Shut up!
:russ::russ: Lance Bass had a critical role too. :lolbron:

We can agree to disagree but what I'm trying to say is that these expectations are misguided because it takes away the responsibility from the people who actually signed up to play these roles. That's just my personal belief because while you're pressuring Kanye, Steph Curry and Jay-Z to do more, the guys who are signed up for these roles are getting away scot free.

I'm fully aware that it's expected. I actually worked for Jay-Z at one point of time and worked on some of his philanthropic and social justice campaigns for Team Roc.

TYRONE GA!
Everything was in place for the Bulls to be the third franchise in the pantheon of GOATS with the Lakers and Celtics. Uniforms, intro, GOAT player, #2, coach, and offense. Legendary decade long run. Thrown away because of cheap, arrogant cacs:unimpressed:

Paying Pip and Phil (again for Phil) would be eating into Reinsdorf's pockets. He could have stopped it all, but prior to the last 2 seasons Mike was only getting 3 mill a year from a long deal he signed in '88. Having to pay Phil at least 6 again and Pip probably 10x what he was making wasn't gonna ride for Reinsdorf and the other minority owners of the Bulls. Krausse getting all the blame when Reinsdorf was just being cheap.

Naw brodie, you fukked up with the last line which you mentioned philanthropy. You ever saw Godfather of Harlem when Brother Malcolm was talking to Bumpy's daughter and she said Bumpy's financial giving is a like giving the homeless man's a nickel for most. Because that money is meaningless considering the amount they have. Their public support and real backing have massive reach and impact. Giving money when you are worth billions is nonsense. It means nothing when they got an infinite supply.

You really don't understand how this works, do you? Power isn't in the dollar, it's in the action to which is funded by the dollar. Look at those white think tank groups. They are funded to have action, man, too many of ya'll don't understand how this shyt really works. What you have seen Jay do is the modern form of Nino's Thanksgiving drive.
