I don’t EVER want y’all to say Kobe fans are as bad as the LeGBT. We might be bad but look at these nikkas y’all :dead:

THE DIFFERENCE IS, WE DONT HAVE TO SHIIT ON GREATNESS TO PROPEL OUR GUY....

SINCE WE GREW UP WATCHIN A TRUE GOAT, WE RECOGNIZE GREATNESS WHEN WE SEE IT AND GIVE MJ HIS PROPS

IF LEBRON WAS CUT FROM THE SAME CLOTH, BEST BELIEVE KOBE AND MJ FANS WOULD BE THE FIRST ONES TO EMBRACE IT

THE TRUTH IS THAT LEBRON IS A PHYSICAL BEAST MUCH GREATER THAN MJ OR KOBE EVER WERE .... BUT HE NEVER HAD THAT IT FACTOR. THE DRIVE, THE WILL, THE RAW PASSION. AND THIS DRIVES LEBRON FANS INSANE. SO WHEN ESPN FALSELY TRIED TO CROWN LEBRON THE NEW MJ TO BOOST RATINGS, CLICKS, AND OVERALL INTEREST, HIS FANS ATE THAT SHIIT UP AND EVEN CONVINCED THEMSELVES IT WAS TRUE.....

BUT THE TRUTH ALWAYS RISES TO THE SURFACE IN THE END. IVE ALWAYS MAINTAINED, LEBRON IS IN A CLASS WITH DR. J, ISIAH THOMAS, AND JERRY WEST... AND THERES NOTHIN WRONG WIT THAT! ITS JUST UNFORTUNATE THAT HIS FANS WILL DO ANYTHING TO PROPEL HIM TO THAT GOAT STATURE, EVEN IF IT MEANS TEARIN THE TRUE GOATS DOWN.

Jordan could’ve added Tim Duncan’s, Davd Robinson’s, Shaq and Kobe’s heads on his plate of championships then Jerry Krause happened.

Naw. 2000 Shaq and Kobe would have destroyed and older bulls team. Luc longley trying to guard shaq in the finals would be comedy

Bulls vs Spurs in 99 would have been interesting tho

He was being told to not sign it at that time:mjlol:

because of the length of the years primarily. He was 16th in salary the first year of his deal. Not bad for what he was as a player at that time. He didn't make his first ALL NBA team until the first year of his new deal too. The cap jumped up 10 million during the start of his 5th year. he should have had an opt out after the end of the 4th. that's where he fukked up.

91/92 - 16th in salary
92/93 - 9th in salary
93/94 - 24th
94/95 - 91th  (the opt out should have been ready for after this 4th year of his deal)
95/96 - 74th :dahell:
96/97 - 128th :dead:
97/98 - ESPN said 91st. Basketball Reference shows 122nd.

Nobody can predict the rise in salaries years later when you sign a deal. He opted for the known vs the unknown. Bit him in the ass, but he recouped after leaving the Bulls.

The thing is, pippen was advised against signing it. The owner told him don't sign it. Just like he told Jordan don't sign his deal. Pippen was thinking about his back and long term security

Regardless the Jerry's should have done the right thing at least for the last season. If not for scottie sake just to show potential future free agents they take care of they people. At the moment they riding high on titles so they get ahead of themselves but as we can see 2 decades later they are still repairing the horrible examples they displayed during the dynasty years.

I don't know if I believe Reinsdorf fully on that one though :patrice:

If I'm the owner, I'd be more like  vs :whoa:

I think the premise was, think before signing it. Once it's signed there is no going back that is your contract until it expires.

Yeah, that's common sense. If Jerry told him that, then :yeshrug:

can't get mad at that.

If it was an NFL contract, that's one thing.

As a kid in the 90s I done watched every Jordan documentary, vhs tape, made-for-tv movie, couple autobiographies, even gotdamn picturebooks, etc chronicling his life... and NONE of them are as lit as these first 2 episodes :whew:

I actually was skeptical about why this was getting gassed up but damn I get it now. This shyt is incredible so far

A lot of things i already knew or thought I knew well enough... they done hit me with the :ufdup:with the amount of details and new footage they show.

About to hit up my dad to make sure he watching this. We 22 years removed from watching game 6 together at the house and he was a big MJ fan so I know this would be nostalgic for him.

I can’t believe I am actually saying this but Jason Whitlock made some very good points in an interview with Marcellus on the breakup of this Bulls dynasty.

Jason explicitly stated that the bigotry, frugality and a pettiness of Krause is what destroyed the team. He wasn’t respected and we know how guys like Krause become when they don’t get their way, especially when someone who, they believe should be an ally (Phil Jackson) chooses to side with the players over the owners (masters).

It’s insane that his inferiority complex drove Phil out of the door because he knew that no matter what, these guys would never want to play for another coach or system. Management across any line of business only care about company men. If you aren’t one of them, you are as good as dead.

I’m looking forward to the episode with Phil to see his perspective on the battler between the circus and the ringmasters as I’m sure Reinsdorf & Krause would liken them to.

I’m glad today’s players are treating it like the business it is and getting paid and creating brands and businesses for themselves. Just like the Cowboys, I hope the Bulls never win again until new management arrives.
