I still can’t fault Krause for picking a 7-footer with ball skills as a GM.

I would have done the same shyt Krause had a good eye

Sellers was a flop and when Pippen and Grant came, there was no place in the starting 5 for him.

Also, I believe the point guard's from UNC's name that Jordan wanted was Johnny Dawkins. His career stats for his position are better than Sellers:

Johnny Dawkins Stats | Basketball-Reference.com

Brad Sellers Stats | Basketball-Reference.com

Sellers didn't have any fantastic ball skills, his fundamentals were mediocre at best. Anytime he had the ball, it seemed like he was about to get a panic attack

More importantly, Dawkins would have been a great pick because it was a position the Bulls were very weak in. Other than Paxson, they tried so many other point guards to be that 1a / 1b choice to Paxson and it wasn't until they drafted BJ Armstrong several years later that the Bulls resolved the point guard situation.

U don’t judge prospects based off their NBA success Sellers was known for ball skills. Jonathan Bender was a similar prospect known for length and ball skills who flopped in the NBA. Once raw prospects get to the league it’s about nurturing and player development.

Scottie didn’t take off running from day one. I’m strictly talking from a front office executive point of view it’s hard to pass on that. He ended up being a bust but on draft day you don’t know that.

Johnny Dawkins actually went to Duke. But Mike often pushed for players associated with the state of North Carolina and he was a friend of Jordan’s.
