Lol you act like Jordan was paid what he deserved his entire career. That's why he got those two 30 million contracts at the end of his career. Pippen got on the podium himself and said "I will get mine". He also defended taking the stupid contract by saying "I felt I needed the security". This ain't no different than a rapper getting yurked when they sign a contract. He signed it, and made a mistake he had to live with.
Yup, Jordan only got paid $3m in the 72-win season. That was the final year of his crappy contract.
After that he decided to sign one-year deals ($30m & $33m).
Endorsements were his money-makers.

He wasnt. He also had the luxury of Nike bank.
The fukk are you justifying him not being understanding of the next man?

Pippen had Nike and other endorsements also, was it Jordan money hell naw. Also get that narrative out of your head that Jordan made all this money from Nike while he was playing, the reason why Jordan brand was formed was because he wasn't making shyt off of Retros and Nike wouldn't give him more of a cut.

End of the day it's his opinion and you can say you don't agree with it but to call him selfish is just too much.

You want to call him selfish then talk about the late night Vegas trips on nights before playoff games and shyt, now that's selfish.

At the end of the day, Krause had an opinion too....but it was shytty...just like MJs opinion on calling Pippen selfish was shytty.

cac ass Phil Jackson could understand it but MJ couldn’t.

shytty would be calling Pippen out in '97 when this was ongoing and crossing that picket line, being reflective and discussing his feelings now shouldnt hurt this much

Regarding mike's take on scottie's contract, Mike always felt like if you signed a contract, you honored it - something his mom instilled in him. Aint got shyt to do with him being an owner now or selling out scottie or whatever. He was underpaid himself and never complained after he signed his contract.

From his book in 2005:

"Once I gave my word and signed on the dotted line, I stuck with it. That's what leaders do."

From his mom in the same book:
"I remember when the Bulls started winning championships and the press started saying that Michael wasn't being paid enough money. I would tell him that his word is his bond. "You signed a contract not knowing how your skills would develop, not knowing who was going to surround you. You agreed to that contract and you have to honor that contract....don't make it an issue because then you are not living up to your responsibility.""

Pippen was doing ASG sideline interviews saying he wouldn’t suit up with the Bulls again, he was advised not to sign that garbage contact. I just don’t see how you gonna rag on MJ for thinking Pip was wrong for basically not suiting up with his brothers on that roster when they had so much at stake. He wasn’t gonna get some random pay increase going into that final season. Mike and Phil were being disrespected too but they didn’t take it out on the locker room. Mike talks often about separating business and the court and owning commitments. He talks about how you learn from those business mistakes and move on. He wasn’t on some pouting shyt, he doesn’t understand how to compromise not winning.

Mike was on a terrible contract too. He only got his worth in those final two seasons with the Bulls. That’s probably why at the time he felt Pip was being selfish because Mike did the same thing, but played through it.

I was hoping they’d show this on there:

“As an NBA player in the age before the Internet, the worst aspects of Jordan’s personality were always hidden from public view. We didn’t know it, but Jordan represented some of the darkest impulses in sports. Everything that drives young people from play can be found in Michael Jordan’s approach to his teammates. He was the hectoring bully who would “moo” when heavyset general manager Jerry Krause would enter the room.”
