He also said that Pippen was the best teammate he ever had. Jordan looked at Pippen like he should have had the same passion that he had, it is what it is.

Krause was on some bullshyt. I remember when he drafted Kukoc and thought he would make Scottie expendable. Kukoc was like the Luka of his day (obviously not as good, but hype wise), and Krause thought he found him one. Plus Krause didn’t draft MJ, so he was thirsty to try to show what he could do building his OWN team.

He also traded Jason Caffey late in the 1998 season, so Kukoc could get more minutes.
The Bulls went thru the playoffs with no backup PF.
