Quiet - You unlock her by beating her in Mission 11. You first start this mission while doing a Side Ops, and it's totally optional in a sense. You can escape the mission area and come back later to fight Quiet (the Mission is put on the Mission list). When you do this mission, use whatever you want. You can't kill her during the fight. Even lethal sniper rifles don't kill her. The choice to spare her or kill her is after the fight. That said, I maintain the old proverb of "Don't bring a sniper rifle to a tank fight." Sure you can drop a supply drop on her but destroying her with a tank is way more fun.

D.D. - After Mission 2, the puppy version of DD can be found near the deployment points of Mission 3,4, and 5. Simply find him and extract him. In order to make him grow you need to beat six story missions.

Showering - The point of this (while never officially stated in the game) is to basically refresh your character. It increases your health, reflex time, and other attributes like fulton success chance. The bonus decreases with every passing day though (and after five days the bonus is gone).

Demon Points - Another feature basically never mentioned in the game. There is a Demon Score that you gain points for by doing dikk things (basically killing people). This will effect how large the horn in your head is.

Getting An S Rank - Another thing that some people seem to question, speed is literally the most important thing in getting an S Rank. You need a score of over 130,000 to get an S. Having a time under the specified time (a hidden requirement though usually below 15 or 10 mins) will give you 120,000 points. Doing side tasks during a mission will give you 5,000 and so will doing things like no retries and no alerts. You lose 5,000 for every alert you go into and lose 100 points for every hit taken. So basically if you beat it under the required time and don't trigger any alert or retry, you are basically guaranteed an S Rank.

Legendary Gunsmith - Once you get into Africa you will unlock a Side Ops for hunting down a legendary gunsmith, it's three side ops long. Do this ASAP. It will allow you to customize your weapons. What the game doesn't tell you is that as you build weapons you are unlocking the attachments that come with said weapon. So when you can customize, you can then freely swap those attachments between weapons of the same class (with some restrictions). So this means that early on in the game, the only sniper with a silencer you can get is a deadly one. The tranq silencer version is unlocked much later. With customize, you can take the silencer from the deadly one and put it on the tranq version. Insanely useful.

Do any of you have Side Ops appear as new in white writing, even though you have done the mission.

Any reason why for this ?

I read that you have to develop a nuclear weapon in order to see the 4th ending. I didn't read more because Im avoiding spoilers. Im on mission 38. But this would explain what Konami was talking about when they said people aren't giving the game enough credit for how deep it is. It definitely looks like there is way more to the game that will be unlocked as people continue playing.
