When doing wandering MSF soldier side ops, if you approach them with a cardboard box on they well up with tears, say "B-boss? It's you..." and salute, allowing you to fulton them without a fight.

Tapping the aim button during a cqc combo will snatch the enemy's gun away and instantly put them in a hold up position.

Aye does quiets kills count as your kills? She done popped two people already and I don't do kills.

Yes I believe so. Either get the Butterfly that shoots tranqs or just leave the soldiers alone.

Also since her silenced rifles don't pierce I recommend constantly deploying your soldiers on sabotage missions that disrupt the supply of helmets...doing the shield and body armor ones will help too.

Anyway:

Heroism over 200K
Can't spend GMP fast enough and ended up losing 300K+because I maxed out at the end of a mission
Leather jacket and Naked variations look cool. Going to get the Raiden suit by Sunday.
[Extreme] version of metallic archaea is damn near impossible...gonna need a realllly powerful rifle for them.
Bandana is doesn't use any resources or has an effect on rating
Can't wait for wormhole

Seems as if they encouraging you to fulton most soldiers. Is this the best route to get the best gear?​

Increasing your heroism and getting S ranks in missions are the best way to get good soldiers. Once you do that and upgrade your iDroid, you'll notice that many more soldiers you scan wil have A++ - A ratings dispersed in their skill tree. I'm at over 200K heroism and it's like that for me. I got a Legendary volunteer today too I think.
