The Fantastic Four actors are around the age of the usual comic ages of the characters, give or take. They are not "old as hell". That's BS.

The X-Men are being rebooted. Marvel themselves have said that. What are you even saying? :dahell:

Anyway, most X-Men characters in the comics are in their teens, 20s and 30s (except for the obvious like Professor X and Magneto, etc). That should generally be the initial age range of the actors who play them as well. Not a guy that's about to be in his 60s. And like I said, Jackman had his time as Wolverine. It's time to retire the adamantium claws. I hope that rumor isn't true, it would be stupid.
Ok I'm going to try this again.. Pedro is 50, Vanessa is 37, Johnny is 30, Ben is 48, Surfer is 30, Galactus is 55... The actors are NOT young. . Half of them are closer to retirement age than high school. Ain't nobody under 30. AND THIS IS THE START... How old will they look in part 2 or 3?? How old is old ass RDJ gonna be in 5-10 years??

Marvel has NOT said they are REBOOTING the X-Men FROM DAY ONE. There's no promise of it being an origin story. They can reboot them and Pro X be 75 already... They can reboot them and Wolves is already Old Man Logan or even middle aged Logan. They can reboot them and Storm be played by a 16 year old, a 55 year old or a 85 year old.. It's still a reboot

You're the only one saying they have to have young actors and be YOUNG X-MEN... They have no committed to that and they don't ever have to... If anything, with this

Literally proving my point. The Fantastic Four cast is around the comic ages of their characters (except RDJ as Doom). I already said that.

Reed Richards is usually in his 40s (sometimes 50s) in the comics. Susan Storm is usually in her 30s. Johnny is usually in his 20s or 30s. Ben Grimm is usually in his 40s (sometimes 50s). The actors are close to the comic book ages. The same should go for the X-Men actors.

Dude, the main X-Men superheroes in the comics are typically in their teens, 20s, and 30s (with some exceptions). There's nothing to discuss. That's just a fact.

Anyway, the only way I will accept Hugh Jackman continuing to play Wolverine is if he's going to be a mentor figure to a younger Wolverine (who would be the main MCU Wolvie). However, if they're making Jackman himself the main MCU Wolverine, then that would be disappointing.

Ok this isn't the comics and Marvel clearly isn't and hasn't EVER done that. Fox tried it and we saw what happened. Marvel has regularly casted 30s/40s and above for every damn role in the MCU and they haven't stopped yet

It's not gonna happen breh. I'm sorry

Well, that's because most of the characters in MCU were based on comic book characters in their 30s/40s, so that fits. Also, actors like Tom Holland, Iman Vellani, Florence Pugh, Hailee Steinfeld, etc. are not in their 30s or 40s (because their characters aren't in the comics).

Anyway, the Jackman rumor is not from a reliable source, so I'm not going to put much thought into it.

Way better than Cynthia but Dewanda is already 41. By the time filming starts she'd be mid 40s and by the time the movie came out she'd be late 40s to creepin up on 50 and that's just after one movie.

Hollywood got a serious problem with getting new young talent. They keep going back to the well to get these old folks and I say that as a :flabbynsick:myself.

With the exception of the :flabbynsick: part (I'm young), I agree with you 100%.

This is true in a vacuum... buuuuuuuuuuuut Storm can be older mentor like in X-Men Evolution, it fits her character since she was never a kid when she joined the X-Men. Colossus was the only Giant-Size addition that was a teenager like the O5 (this was actually a story point because the new X-Men were mostly adults who didn't really want a teacher or a father figure). It also makes her a better fit if they recast T'Challa with Aldis Hodge or anyone else they've been eyeing, tbh.

Plus black women stay fine forever. They wanted Angela Basset to play her 40 years ago and she still bad
:wow:

I hear you but ideal actress age for me is mid to late 20's to early 30's. 35 at the absolute max. Angela was like early to mid 30s when they were first thinking about casting her (years before the 2000 film).

I agree, but only as long as they don't settle for someone who doesn't get as close to fitting *all* of Storm's traits (as well as being a capable actress) as DeWanda just because they're 5 years younger or have a little buzz. Let's face it, the only way in which she's not right is that she's a bit older (and maybe a bit shorter) than we'd prefer but you'd never be able to tell from looking at her or her performances.

Yes.

People have been shytting on the F4 for decades calling them lame and in about a week Reed and Sue have already gained a buncha Gen-Z/A fans going by the memes on my timeline.
They should add new characters to the game couple of months before every movie then. Falcon ain't on there right? lol
