I honestly felt like when he died, that was the end of the MCU for me. End Game was a perfect stopping point. No more iron man, no more cap, no more hulk, no more black panther, thor phasing out too. We got four black panther apearances already anyway. With the new x-men properties and stuff, may as well just reboot the whole series. Bring back a new black panther 5, 6 years from now. At least let chadwick be the only actor to be black panther for this continuity.
Yeah I honestly want them to leave on a good note
We The audience actually don’t need any more films

There are only two options.

Recast or pass the mantle to Shuri.

In the comics, yes there have been PAST Black Panthers but in the continuity there have been two present BP’s and thats T’Challa and Shuri.

T’Challa as a CHARACTER is extremely important, and like Batman, Superman, etc. he is open to different actors and interpretations. It would do a disservice to the character and mythos simply create another character out of thin air and give him a back story not steeped in any Marvel tradition or lore. That would be terrible.

Write the new Black Panther into the comics. Who wants the black equivalent of Adam West or Brandon Routh as T'Challa?

T'Challa would be passing the new Black Panther the torch from the realm of the ancestors after a self-sacrificial death. What better way for both T'Challa and Boseman to bow out?

I don't know why after decades of superhero movies, you don't understand this. Movies and comic books are different. In the comic books, he's an extremely important character. He is important in the movies too. He's played T'Challa four times over the past four years. He is the only actor to ever have played T'Challa. Bringing depth and gravitas to T'Challa with each performance.

I wish Chadwick Boseman had a Robert Downey Jr run in the MCU. Unfortunately, that's impossible now. So what would bring the most audience satisfaction? What would help the general audience come to terms with what has happened? Shuri being the Black Panther? May have worked in the comics, but look at how much backlash the idea of Shuri being the next Black Panther pissed people off before Chadwick’s death.

People were pissed because they felt Shuri made T’Challa look clueless by comparison. I like Shuri’s character. Wright is a talented actress and a class act. But the next Black Panther? :francis:

The Joker still made $1,000,000,000, though. I have stated already that the character is important, so there is not a need to rehash what he means to the kids. I have not stated that is performance is unimpressive either. I believe that there are plenty other actors who are able to impress in the role, too, and how are you saying that it is important for the kids but not wanting them to have another big screen version of the property?

Did you seriously compare the Joker and Black Panther? Kids, though it’s a given they will, shouldn’t even be watching the Joker.

Matter of fact, that’s the stupidest comparison between two comic book characters. Joker is as far from Black Panther as two characters could be.

We know T’Challa. He is a 3-dimensional heroic king that carries himself with dignity and integrity.

The Joker is just a force of nature, trying to expose the hypocrisy of society by causing as much havoc and violence as possible. He’s not even the Joker in the new movie, and if you claim that he is, that just supports the argument that comic book characters can be reinvented and reimagined.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
I thought I was the only one feeling like this. This has been my attitude since Far from Home.

If they never make another MCU movie ever again, they did a phenomenal job. It really is good where it's at.

No need for female Thor, gay black heroes...

Now the Black Panther is gone?

I really feel it now. They can end it here and everything is good to me. One of the most epic movie series ever created.

I get what you're saying and can respect that, but I'm not leaving the MCU until this narcissistic tyrant shows his hand.

And fukk everybody saying we shouldn’t be speculating and discussing this so soon after the man’s death.

For four years, despite knowing he had cancer, he had a love for the material and felt honored to be a part. He was graceful and kind.

Look at the interview where he’s talking about two kids who had cancer as well and how they wanted to live to see Black Panther. These kids died of cancer and Chadwick was honoring them by talking about their love for the character. Like I said, I didn’t know him personally, but I’m sure he was more interested in the future of the MCU than most of us. So talking about what Chadwick loved to do, despite the pain he was feeling, is paying homage not just to his legacy but who he was as a person with likes and dislikes. :camby:

Recast :what:

How many actors played batman?

To those who don't want to recast, y'all just never liked T'challa the character. :hhh:

Chadwick passed T'challa did not.

Mbaku is not protagonist material and is a poor representation of Africans. What African uses a hammer? He's just the big black brute stereotype that keeps getting pushed but always flops. Mbaku entire costume make no sense he dresses like it's cold in Africa. He's more inspired by Vikings then Africans.

Shuri would be disrespectful to the franchise they already nerfed T'challa. But shuri gets to be intelligent and a martial artist?

Also without T'challa black panther as a franchise turns from a black event to a black women event.

T'challa was the only normal black male. Every other character of importance and dignity is a black women. Mbaku is just the stereotypical big angry black guy shyt not even accurate nikkas are docile. Killmonger was a villain, and so was the other dude.

All the black female characters are the done with respect but the only remaining black guy is a stereotype and a clone of Luke Cage corny ass.:comeon:

That's the selfish shyt from black feminists as usual. :camby:

I expect that shyt from white people but from other black people that shyt pisses me off.

Recast with a younger actor. Stop promoting old flabby and sick black actors and we won't have this problem:dahell:

Don't shyt on Boseman’s legacy like that and pretend as though he didn’t bring T’Challa to life.

I wrote out a rough outline some pages ago as to how I think the story should go. Chadwick Boseman is T’Challa in that outline. We see him alive at the end of Black Panther, we hear of his death over the MCU logo, and we get a flawless computer generated T’Challa (no talking, perhaps crossing his arms in the Wakandan tradition) to pass the torch to the new Black Panther when it looks like Wakanda could be destroyed.

And you want to throw away all of Chadwick's work out of respect?

Chadwick brought a character to the forefront, and as soon as he leaves, let's throw it all away to push feminists?

Is that correct?

So you think after Heath Ledger's death, Joker should've been thrown away?

I'm not saying they should stop making movies. But maybe this current continuity should be over. It's just going to be a bunch of new people making references to old movies now anyways.
