So what are you implying? That because of the color of my skin, I've not worked on less than five successful theatrical feature-length films? (Not giving exact numbers because, even though it's gotten better, there's still not enough black skin in this environment to go into specifics.) I will say this though, I've never been a studio intern. The quality of my work got me through the door.

Some speculation that BP may be pushed back to 2023. Again just speculation from the talking heads on youtube. Saying that 6 months or so isnt enough time (rumored start date) to just start production now that Boseman is gone.

I agree because it was already wasn't coming out until 2022. COVID pushing everything back damn near a year. If Marvel is still using ATL, they have a helluva backlog.

The fact that when he passed everyone instantly pointed to his role as BP, callin him BP, with BP2 slated to into pre-production soon, what did you think was gonna happen? This is also a BP2 thread, where people have been discussing ideas for the movie since before the 1st one dropped. It is what it is. It's not insensitive, because the reality is that Disney/Marvel Studios/Coogler and everyone else involved are thinking the same thing.

They do have a helluva backlog. However, Black Panther was supposed to film in Australia

I don't think Marvel will do another full slate announcement again like they did in the past. There's just too much uncertainty with the Virus still lingering & honestly they don't need to build hype like they've had to in the past. We really might not get a formal announcement about the status of BP2 (or any of the other previously announced 2022 movies) for a while.

I honestly felt like when he died, that was the end of the MCU for me. End Game was a perfect stopping point. No more iron man, no more cap, no more hulk, no more black panther, thor phasing out too. We got four black panther apearances already anyway. With the new x-men properties and stuff, may as well just reboot the whole series. Bring back a new black panther 5, 6 years from now. At least let chadwick be the only actor to be black panther for this continuity.

If they never make another MCU movie ever again, they did a phenomenal job. It really is good where it's at.

we've had plenty of "high profile XXX" posters on here who was lying thru their teeth. if you've done work, great, no one here cares as there's no way to prove it (nor is it worth proving for you) and doesn't affect the conversation we're having here. save the "humble" brag for pulling chicks, not coli clout

Problem is no Shuri either.

I feel like the final battle from endgame should be the last chronological thing from this MCU era so I dig this. Black widow is in the past and BP2 can be in the past. Anything else going forward can be outside of the MCU. Things are just gonna get messier and messier with actors aging and Spider-Man rights and all the other shyt. Add black widow and BP2 to the existing movies and make it a wrap right there.

Kids understand death. It’s heartbreaking, yes, but If they see Chadwick Boseman in a flashback and then hear of Tchalla’s death perhaps over the MCU logo and it’s all handled solemnly, kids have an adjustment period. You bring in some random dude and say “this is T’Challa” after the kids have already gotten used to Chadwick Boseman, they can easily lose interest or get upset.

I don’t like when they make dead computer generated actors talk (like Peter Cushing in Rogue One) but a silent depiction of him with the ancestors passing the torch to the new Black Panther would have a huge impact, especially if the new actor fits.

Joker made $1,000,000,000, so are you going to perpetually ignore that?
