exactly breh the Russo's missed the boat with T'challa / black panther two straight movie's t'challa was the only mane avenger's character to not get any offense in on Thanos goofy ass star lord even got offense in on Thanos

if cap got to put up a decent skillful fight with the power of Thor against Thones the first half of the big climax fight why couldn't T'challa put up a skillfull fight with the power The hulk against Thones the second half of the big climax fight
hulk hard daping up T'challa to charge up his suit would have been like the MCU version of
giphy.gif

if T'challa could have looked this skillful against Thones before the suit runs out of gamma energy :whew: all would have been forgiven for how T'challa / wakanda was treated in infinity wars

i remember having debate on a message board about T'challa's skillset/tech/powers in The MCU and being overpowered people being worried about him being overpowered and i am like so you guy's are going to be cool with black panther only being a hawkeye level of help the big avengers climax battle's right and dude's talking about T'challa's a strategic genius in battle and I'm like cap is to be a strategic genius to and henever does any thing smart or clever strategy whys in any of the avengers climax battle's the problem with a character being a strategic genius is he is only going to be as smart/clever as the writer's writing him and if the writer are not very smart/clever nether is the character

that's why part of me is low key hoping for namor or doom for the villain in black panther 2 to force an upgrade in his power level's

All facts. There's really no such thing as Black Panther being overpowered. The truth is that insecure industry white ppl see him as a threat to Captain America (as good or better a fighter, equally or more noble, equally "worthy" of thor's hammer or of any other mystical bullshyt, etc), so they run behind the "overpowered" narrative whenever his other intangibles evolve... as if raising the level of his competition to more than just goons wouldn't quickly "solve" that natural evolution...

Consider that Spider-Man is overpowered if you just regulate him to shop lifters and petty purse-snatchers. But Peter is American, a Cap fanboy, and a white kid... so he'll always defer.
BP unleashed to his full potential, otoh, is the type to take control of a room and have ppl thinking "maybe he should just be the leader :ohhh:"

The amount of whining, crying, and ho-babble from the "Namor should flood Atlantis" crowd when this scene is cinematically adapted :wow:

And the ensuing ass whooping BP gives Namor with them "overpowered" purple people eaters :whew:

BP really doesn't have a signature fight or moment :mjcry:Thor has his scene from Infinity when he pulled up with Groot and Rocket. Cap has his highway fight with WS. Ironman has the fight vs Hulk with the Hulkbuster. Dr. Strange has his fight against Thanos with FOUR fukking Infinity stones

I thought all his fight scenes in Civil War were dope and on the level of the other street level fighters.

T'Challa vs Killmonger in the vibranium mine should've really been that but they (CGI/Coolger/everybody damn it) really dropped the ball. :francis:

I loved BP in Civil I was trying to pick just one pivotal moment or fight even with those Cap or someone else always interfered. We never got a full BP vs Cap either:ufdup:

Lowkey a lot of misses in that movie because it became a cultural moment.

Ryan and 'nem completely ignored Civil War to do another tired "origin story."

Shuri being the head scientist and able to do everything at 15 was ridiculous.

The uses of viburnum got a little out of control.

The whole Killmonger becomes king and Wakanda just excepts it thing is kinda ridiculous in hindsight.

My hope for the new movie they can clean up the writing

That shyt was inexcusable. Muthafukkas snipped the budget to funnel it into Infinity War or some shyt.

Then didn't give him any offense on Thanos :snoop:

Civil War was as great as an introduction as you can get from a bad ass standpoint, but Coogler and the Russos dropped the ball after that.

Yea, very shytty communication between the Russos, Feige and Coogler.

The beginning of Civil War has T'Challa's father literally giving the same speech T'Challa gives at the end of Black Panther. In other words, the underlining subplot of the Black Panther movie (xenophobic Wakanda closing off their aid/support/reaping what they sowed) was already resolved before we (the public) even knew it was a subplot :dead:

The easiest change would be modifying T'Chaka's speech. At the most radical, large dynamics of the BP movie would have to change for continuity.

Now i don't sweat it too much because we could put most of these marvel movies under a microscope and shred it to pieces. But the big thing that irks me is the fight scenes. Bc at the core of superheroes, that's the fun part man lol. shyt is supposed to be lit

This is pretty much my biggest issue with re-watching BP, the 3rd act felt real lazy and the fight choreography wasn't really good (I always cringe at where killmonger does the pg rated throat slash on the dora) for what this film deserved for even a basic MCU entry. Feige better unleash the flutes for BP2
