And now you have Coogler destroying Wakanda, pushing Matriarchy Forever, and allowing Latinos to have stronger male representation than Black men in a supposed Black movie


And as for Black male representation is concerned I don't trust the T'Challa Jr reveal.

Because Coogler and Moore might make him an alphabet, make him an idiot, a screw up, a bedbuck, etc...because the same people who screwed up Black Panther 1 & 2 are in charge of the entire path of a kid. Which means they can mess up his entire future.

Just came from the theater. The movie had a bunch of problems but I still liked it. It was definitely better than I thought it was going to be.

Shuri looked like a big headed skeleton running around in the panther suit. That shyt looked ridiculous. They really should have bulked her up after she drank that purple herb juice. Riri had big Snoop from the Wire energy the whole time. Her acting was a little iffy.
Namor was dope, but he needed way more of the "I'm going to fukk Sue Storm" cocky attitude he has in the comics. The "war" with Atlantis was pretty disappointing. I was hoping we'd see the Hatut Zeraze raising hell in Talokan. Hopefully it's not over and we'll see more of their rivalry in the future.


It's funny seeing someone shyt on incels, and watching incels randomly come out of the woodwork to take offense. Perfect example of the phrase "hit dogs holler"

I think why the 1st film and this film's final battles feel small is because
1. Coogler is trying to make the fights personal/intimate

if you/me/the untrained take their phone and film a fight it's going to feel plain and intimate. that's the default.
coogler doesn't know how to make grand scenes and can only do intimate. that's the problem.
remember "avengers assemble" .. coogler couldn't even do that 15 second scene in his wildest dreams. he can't structure it.
that doesn't matter for fruitvale or rocky but it does in super-hero action films.

2. Im not sure his heart is in seeing black vs black or black vs brown people really tearing each other up.

it's the same with gringos/asians too. like in the casino, the car chase BP1, klauw in the museum, dora vs. french troops.

His next film needs to be them fighting aliens or drones or some shyt. Which is wild for me to say cause the actual Namor vs Shuri fight was quite brutal. Just the battles..idk.

My 2nd field trip seeing this (the favorite coli Black feminist Jamele Hill rented out a theatre.) Def enjoyed it more the 2nd time. Expectations were taken off. Like Namor and his story even more. Flowed alot better then I thought it did the first time. And although I still don't like that the fantasy world of Wakanda lacked that black pride of the 1st one. That final battle all those intelligent Black people together strategizing for the battle was great. Still don't buy RiRi being that skilled of a fighter that quickly. Most superhero go through baby steps in perfecting their craft. But yeah this is def better the 2nd time. And I'm actually taking this over Dr. Strange now. Still not better then Spiderman to me though.

The fact you needed to see it again to consider it might be better than whack ass Doctor Strange 2 tells me all I need to know

Scarlett gave a very memorable performance. Not saying it's flawless but I liked it tried to be different. I had way different expectations for BP2 so it was going to be harder to please me.

This was definitely “Black Girl Magic: The Movie”. But I didn’t mind. It flowed well and everyone acted realistically.

TBH Coogler and team deserve a lot of credit for making this work considering Chadwick’s death and Letitia’s anti vax fukkery.

I don’t believe Nate Moore at all when he said that T’Challa Jr was already in the original script while Chadwick was alive.

To me it seems like they included the son at the very last min to shut the recast T’Challa group up.
