I always felt like Coogler needed help with action and fighting

I was initially fooled because the boxing looked so good in Creed but I then found out they had a team just for the boxing scenes

Coogler+Russo's handling action could've been a great team up
I use to say Idk why Feige just didnt tell Russos to come film that 3rd act battle in Black Panther. I think Coogler does fine with more grounded stuff like the casino Brawl. However, you really need more theatrics in your bag for the other stuff.

And its not like the Russos just learned it from nowhere. They volunteered the John Wick guys to shoot Winter Solider and Civil War for them. Learned enough for IW and Endgame. Although I'd argue the action in WS/CW were still better.

I won't go classic but this was a really good film across the board. You can't hide the void of T'Challa and they don't try to, they embrace it and use it as a means of story progression. The action sequences were a huge step up from the original, no complaints there. The soundtrack wasn't on the level of BP1 though.

They've acknowledged Chadwick's passing, now hopefully we can explore whatever options be it the Multiverse or whatever to get a new T'Challa going forward.
I agree, and I think Ludwig’s composition shines better on its own without vocals. I need to listen to the score on Spotify whenever it drops but I came out of this feeling kinda underwhelmed in that regard. That Killmonger theme from BP1 alone is hard to top though.

Kansas City, MO.
just got back 7/10. They obviously had to make a tough decision between recasting or pulling from real life. Namor fight scenes were dope. Very touching tribute to T'Challa.

Having Killmonger be the person she greets in the Ancestral realm was cool. I was expecting her to talk to T'Challa or directly to Bast.

Valentina being Ross's ex-wife was a nice addition. Glad to see she got called up to the main roster.

Riri was aight. There's not a whole lot to her character.

Angela Bassett was nailing her role.

Namor's backstory was cool.

Unless I missed it, they didn't make any mention of that earthquake off the coast of Africa from Endgame. I'm guessing that was still something Namor did.

Naw the African vocals were great in BP1. The Killmonger theme had a woman singing in it.

However, I remember hearing Coogler saying more of the actual soundtrack would be in this movie/synched with score. They wanted to be experimental and thats a choice..
Movie just ended…… wow

What do you mean by “Naw”? Lol. I never said they weren’t great. Killmonger’s theme had chants in it, not full blown artist features like in this entry. Majority of the track was pure instrumentation.
