Shuri was already a Black Panther in the comics so I have no problems with it in the movie. She was also one of the best parts of the first movie so I’ll let them cook on that.

I also think we’re in for some surprises that haven’t been leaked which is why I’m seeing this shyt in IMAX on Thursday night.

Plenty of shyt ain't comic accurate and ppl defend and everything in the comic wasn't well received. Wakanda being under seige for the beginning of Coates run was a shytty idea.

I'm now with the ppl that thought T'Challa needed to be recasted.

I hated what they did to T'Challa in the first one (had him looking weak and with a lack of direction or scared all movie), but, i thought they'd fix it in Part 2, but, apparently Namor isn't the "villain," but, another main character.

Still, this might be the first MCU film I see since Endgame.

The trailer looks good. I'll definitely be watching this in theaters.

It's obvious from the trailer that Shuri is going to end up being BP in the film. I hope that this is only temporary though. I don't think that a Shuri-led BP franchise would be successful. Also, for me personally, I don't like Letitia Wright. She's great as Shuri but in-person, not great.

Hopefully, there's some (good) surprises in this movie though.

As much as a headache she probably was in production of BP2, I doubt they are planning to have Shuri carry the lead for the BP franchise beyond thos one.

Still, this might be the first MCU film I see since Endgame.

The looking weak part can probably be attributed to him being sick and not telling anyone. Physically he looked fragile.


It’s also interesting to see that throughout this entire ordeal, nobody has blamed Boseman. He never let Marvel know and his passing came at the worst possible time. He put them in a bad spot. Had they known he was sick, maybe they would’ve been prepared to recast if need be or set it up in a way that there could be a more seamless transition. Or maybe they would’ve cast someone else for role, since he was also working on other projects.


I’m not going to blame Coogler or Feige. They made a tough call that was going to get backlash no matter what. At least with this movie, they don’t have to worry about people critiquing the casting choice.

Even with Blade delayed, Rhodey is now leading a film and Sam is Captain America. Fury is the star of Secret Invasion. Kang isnt a hero but hes going the major big bad of two MCU films and people already excited about Majors. They just need to pull the trigger on Blue Marvel.

I don’t know why y’all still on T’Challa.

I could see if the first Black Panther didn’t have a strong supporting cast. But that’s what made the first one great

Coogler had to literally write a brand new movie after Boseman died. I commend him on the strength of that alone. And they were friends. This was a close knit cast, and all of them had to come together and make a movie that not only topped the first one, but honoring Boseman. They were probably mourning in the beginning in set.


So people that keep talking recasting, all you’re doing is disrespecting the time and work they put into making this, in the middle of a pandemic while mourning their friend.


The mantle isn’t static. Other people can hold the mantle. Wakanda is getting their own Disney+ show and hopefully, this movie will entrench them within the MCU for decades to come.


You got a new Iron Man who’s a sista. Y’all keep worrying about what you don’t have and not taking the time to appreciate what you do. Spider-man not only got a trilogy, but now they’re in early talks with doing a 4th.

I just want a trilogy at least. We need this movie to do huge numbers to Feige can fast track another one. Even if you don’t want to see it, buy a ticket and give it to someone who does

And Shuri was my favorite character in the first movie followed by Killmonger so if you don’t want her to hold the mantle.
