Someone catches Covid during a pandemic and the movie is doomed.
I guess all that faith in Coogler the first time around was just bluster.

I think he has a point though. The Russo Brothers did a better job with Black Panther in Civil War and Infinity War imo.

Coogler watered him down in his own movie.

Russo brother are known for working with ensemble casts.. high action..and great storyline /visuals....

Civil War and Infinity War are damn near perfect for the outcome.

BP is a decent movie at best.

Big budget is NOT Coogler wheelhouse and we all know it

I think Wakanda will remain an important part of the MCU for years to come.


Black Panther was an historical moment in the history of the MCU and film in general. Losing Boseman hurts. To consider recasting T’Challa and Shuri kinda marginalizes what they accomplished together.

You could tell from the action but overall the story was good. I’d let someone else handle the action but let coogler have another shot directing

I think he should just be an executive producer and writer.

That scene with old girl sitting in the car seat and holding onto the wheel after it blew up would never have happened with another Director

you dont even believe that.

BP was mid as hell and the CGI was bad. Outside of some Killmonger one liners and the emotional strings folks felt because of the black cast, this movie was not great. We'll never have a honest convo on it because of the racially element.

BP 2 is going to be Cooglers first L, all because he won’t even recast T’Challa.

they'd be better off fast tracking the Wakanda tv show to show the death of T'Challa/explain why he is different, end it with Namor attacking, then let the movie be the output of those events.

To be honest though, I dont even think they need to explain a recast, we are damn adults and know the man passed away.

Can’t have this without Black Panther

there will be a new black Panther. Even if Boseman was still here, eventually the mantle would’ve been passed. So it’s not a matter of if, than it is when.

this movie will be an ode to Boseman, while elevating Wakanda as a whole.
